“A fun hotel in a great location”
Reviewed 27 March 2012

This hotel is fun, and in a wonderful downtown location. The bed was very comfy. The rooms are small and the bathroom is tiny -- so this is not the hotel to stay in if you want to lounge around in your room. (Go to the Ritz Carlton.) But if you want a fun hotel, that has a hip feeling and in a great downtown location, stay here. The money you save you can use to buy tickets to the Fox theater, which is right across the street. The restaurant is good for breakfast, but would go elsewhere for dinner unless tight on time. The bar is fine. They were about to start redecorating all the rooms when we visited, so presumably the rooms will only get nicer, but probably not larger. They allow dogs in some rooms.

Room Tip: I think all the rooms and bathrooms are tiny, but you might call the front desk for your reservation...

Thank you for taking time to give us your feedback, and share your experience with others. "Unique, and refreshingly local" are what we strive for; so, to hear your references to our neighborhood and the Fox Theatre (which happens to be a source of inspiration for our new decor), it sounds like the message is translating well. While the historic nature of our building does not lend to increasing square footage, yes, we have started room renovations, and they will be AWESOME and complete late Spring... so, come back and see us!

Just got back from a weekend trip to Atlanta. This hotel is a great value. Convenient location, across the street from the Fox theater, Churchill Grounds Jazz Club and the Baraonda Restaurant. Just one block away from the MARTA which is very easy to use. The gentlemen at the front desk were very friendly. Hotel was very clean, beds and pillows were very comfortable. The bathroom was very small. Would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends.

Although the parking garage can be a bit challenging, we LOVED this hotel and proximity to the Fox Theatre. The bed was cozy, staff extremely nice, and ambiance of hotel overall a great experience. Would stay again for sure!!! As gold priority members were upgraded to a corner room with view of the Fox.
It was so nice to not have the bother of driving after our event but just walking across the street.

Room Tip: suggest a room away from street on weekends as can be noisy.

pleased to hear that you appreciated the special attention we give all of our members. Our proximity to the Fox Theatre (directly across the street) is primo for all concert and theater enthusiasts. Please don't hesitate to reach out to our Front Desk staff, who will gladly assist with any parking garage needs. Again, thank you for staying with us, and also taking time to tell us what you think.

Not into it, not against it.

Pro's:

In the heart of the city, kiddy-corner from Fox Theater.

Con's:
Bathroom was closet sized. No refrigerator (I have medication to keep cold, and this was a bust)

My wife and I just got back from a weekend at the Hotel Indigo. Our stay was everything I expected and more from a boutique hotel at this price range. Eddie and John were both top notch hosts. Upon check-in Eddie was happy to take time to tell us about the history of the hotel and make recommendations for dinner and entertainment. Then when he saw me carrying champagne to the room offered to have a refrigerator sent to our room. Later in the evening John took time to make more dinner recommendations when we decided to choose somewhere closer to the hotel.
We did not spend much time at the hotel bar but it was lively and fun. Some of the staff was actually there on their time off and just as friendly and outgoing as when they were on the clock.
Now for the physical aspects of the hotel. It is extremely charming, and although it seems small compared to its neighbor, we found Hotel Indigo big enough to offer everything we needed. While the rooms were not huge, they had plenty of room for 2 people, especially since you're in Midtown Atlanta and should not spend much time in the room anyway. As previous reviews mention, the bathroom is extremely small, but we knew that going in so it was not a big deal. However we are not large people, so that made it easier for us.
We were on a non-pet floor, facing away from Peachtree St., on the 9th floor. That being said, everything was nice and quiet, and there were no pet smells whatsoever.
I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: The higher the better
