Description: Celebrating over 18 year as one of Atlanta's favorite restaurants, South City Kitchen Midtown specializes in contemporary Southern cuisine with a sophisticated twist. Combining the energy of Atlanta with the warmth of a Southern home, the restaurant is nestled in an updated, historic bungalow on the city's famous Crescent Avenue. Dine on local Southern favorites such as shrimp and grits, buttermilk fried chicken, she-crab soup, fried green tomatoes and banana pudding while enjoying the view of our exhibition kitchen or the city skyline on one of the best patios in the city. This truly is dining the way the new South intended.

South City kitchen for brunch has a menu that is very Southern in its selections. The food was good but not great and the service OK.

Fried green tomatoes were amazing. Pecan pie for dessert. Patio seating is great. Small bar area but great food!

This restaurant is all good! The atmosphere is great. We didn’t have a reservation and were seated on the patio immediately. Our waiter Anthony made some great recommendations. Whiskey drinkers order the Shawshank—best old fashioned ever! Everyone around us ordered the chicken but we had the quail and the hanger steak. Sooo good! Will definitely try other restaurants in this group and eat at South City Kitchen again.

After 40 years with a major telecom company, retirement was the right answer. Of all the restaurants in Atlanta, I chose South City Kitchen in Midtown Atlanta for the food, the bar and and ambiance.
I wasn’t disappointed at all. In fact, South City Kitchen exceeded all expectations. We were all treated very special and received food and drink recommendations. The lamb and red fish were incredible. The boar was good but gets a little lost in the pasta. The recommendation of the Working Man red wine was great too. As well as the bourbon and lemon drop martinis.
Thanks to South City Kitchen management and especially Tyler our great server.
We will be back soon.

Restaurant is multi level and offers an outdoor dining area. Bar area is relatively small and no TVs.

Food was outstanding. Highly recommend the she crab soup if you're a fan of crab. Tasty and flavorful. Also recommend the fried chicken. Outer crust was very good and not greasy. Chicken meat was mostly moist and tender. Collard greens were sweet and the potatoes lumpy but tasty.

Service was excellent. No beers on tap, but they offered a variety of speciality beers.

Desserts looked good.

Location is on the loud side. Some tables are somewhat crammed. Restaurant is only open until 10.
