I believe the name Flying Biscuit came about as they these tasty biscuits fly out of the kitchen. Yes, they are good and I recommend a stop to check it out for yourself. The McLendon location is not too large, so time your visit accordingly. Why only 4 stars, well, the dusted potato's were fairly average. I'll stop back again when I'm in the area as other menu items looked very enticing to the palette. As well, there is an attached bakery! Enjoy.

The food here is amazing! So many options it’s hard to pick. The high flyer is a lot of food, and has just about everything; eggs, sausage, biscuit, an oatmeal pancake with peaches, and grits (I swapped mine for an extra biscuit). I’m not a small guy and I couldn’t finish it all. Also, it makes use of chicken sausage instead of pork. It’s different, but tastes good. The staff was very friendly too!

Wanted to try this restaurant for years. Finally went and was not disappointed in the least. The food was amazing....strange to say about breakfast fare, right? I had the Chorizo Hash. Wow. Went back the next day (even though it's on the other side of Atlanta) and had the same thing!
Service both trips was perfect. The staff really care that you have a great dining experience. How refreshing!

The service wasn’t that great but the food made up for it! The biscuits and grits were definitely the highlight...the “moon potatoes” were tasty but a little starchy because they were undercooked. My boyfriend got the oatmeal pancake that was a little dense but overall the food was delicious!

This is still our favorite breakfast place . . . pretty much in the entire world. We've been coming to the original place here on McLendon Ave. since they opened, and it is still the best: the best biscuits, the best grits and cheese grits, the best pancakes, the best coffee. You will not leave hungry, that's for sure. We don't live in Atlanta any more but we always make sure we come here for breakfast whenever we're in town. The lines go out the door on the weekends, so try to come on a week day if you can. They have a take out bakery as well, so if you can't wait for a table, stop in and get a biscuit (or whole wheat biscuit) to go with some coffee.
