As you've read, the hotel is close to MARTA station but if you like to walk, then you won't need MARTA at all.. I was there for a concert at the Tabernacle and all the time I enjoyed walking around (have breakfast at Mary Mac's Tea Room), visit the botanical gardens (you can rent a bike at Piedmont Park). Another great place near the hotel that you can't miss is The Varsity!
And after a long day around the city, nothing can beat a nice comfy bed and a quiet, fresh room. The Georgia Tech Hotel is well located, well maintained, clean, quiet and with an amazing staff (if they tell you that the place you're looking for to have lunch isn't good at all, listen and trust them ;) ). The bedroom was larger than I expected (which is always good), the bathroom and amenities are also good.
The fitness center is well equipped. The indoor pool was good (the bleach odor was a bit too hard for me, probably due to ventilation) but the hot tube was excellent after a long walk (just there, relaxing a few minutes).
Overall, a nice stay!More
