We dined here twice during our stay and it was beautiful both nights. The view sat looking out over the vineyards was amazing. The staff were lovely and helpful and spoke good English, we only wish we spoke more Italian than we do as that’s got to be frustrating for the Italians. The food we ordered was awesome. They have a great big bbq grill outside where the meat is cooked-you May smell a little smoked when you leave but this is not a complaint we didn’t mind at all) however we went a bit mad on the first night and ordered a starter and the bbq mixed grill main sharer. It’s 38e and recommended for 2 people. Before the starter we were then served lovely complimentary bread with dips so really didn’t need the starter. When the huge mixed grill came out we knew we had made an error coz it was massive! You could have shared it between 4 people not just us 2. Anyway it was delicious but we left around 3/4 of it so I cheekily asked if we could take it away in a doggy bag( I know this is common practice in most countries but I was unsure about Italy after googling it) the waiter was very enthusiastic about this idea tho and brought it back out to us in cartons all wrapped up to take away and we had it for dinner the next day. The wines from the region and desserts were equally as delicious. The next night we knew better and skipped the starters and got smaller single main courses.steak tartare and sea bass, beautifully cooked! We even got a limoncello on the house. The whole ambience of the place is just real rustic Italy, with dishes on the menu to match. Lots of steaks, special pasta and gnocchi. If you’re a fussy eater then maybe stick with the steaks and simpler pastas but for the more adventurous like ourselves it really excels.
