I drove into the port area and this was the first hotel I saw. Great location, god place to stay for three days I thought. Considering it was one of the most expensive hotels of my touring trip, I should have turned around and left as soon as they said there was no parking, unfortunately I didn’t. The parking was only a few minutes walk away, but 10 euros a day. The manager did say that it was busy in the evening, what he didn’t mention was that the very loud disco next door started at 11pm. At 11.30 I asked when it stopped, I was told that it had to stop by law at 1am. By then it was too late to move. Of course it didn’t stop at 1, although they did turn it down about 2am. The shower was hanging from the wall and I couldn’t get it right, breakfast was minimal. In the morning, when I told the chap at reception that I was leaving, he had the cheek to tell me that he had warned me about the noise. If you want to pay top wack for a poor standard and little sleep – this is the place for you.

As a business traveler plans change sometimes and I need to adjust my reservations. I had to cancel my stay and even though I canceled 2 weeks prior to my stay they still charged me 1 night. Support staff was not helpful. Other hotels work with business travelers but not this one.

As mentioned by other reviewers, the hotel is in a great location in the harbour area of the town. Given that it has four stars and that we paid more for the accommodation that almost anywhere else, I really expected more. The room, was just about ok with a comfortable bed but the bathroom was really dated, with insufficient hot water. In contrast to most other people that we met in Sicily, I found the staff unfriendly and unhelpful. My limited Italian language could be part of the problem but I think that we all know when someone is making an effort and when someone couldn't be bothered. Also mentioned by a number of other reviewers, the self-service breakfast was really poor, with pretty undrinkable coffee from a flask. Apart from the location, it was definitely not worth the money.

Room Tip: Perhaps get a room that faces the courtyard rather than the harbour.

We've been there with my girfriend for 3 nights, last week and after only 5 mins we realise that nobody from the staff members were able to speak english or any others languages.
WIFI the worst ever...better nothing!
Breakfast were ridiculous, everything frozen, all the croissants burned...
Really good position, room ok,bathroom is definetly not suitable for a 4 stars hotel.
Not really reccomended at all!!!!

The courtyard area and the location of the hotel are great. The room we had was a bit musty, small, the shower was tiny and the decor a bit dated, The wifi did not work for any one we knew staying at the hotel.
However the location was nice, the breakfast buffet was decent and the out door area was very nice.

Room Tip: I think the rooms off the courtyard are nicer. We were on an upper floor not connected to the courtyard and that was a bit drab.
