3 nights stay with my family. This is very much an Italian resort in the picturesque town of Bosa. Everyone is extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel sits on a beach. 150m away lies the sea from your terrace. The beach is shallow and deepens slowly- ideal. The apartment is clean, tidy and spacious. A simple but sufficient breakfast was included. 20m away is a well stocked minimart. The staff are delightful and the attached restaurant is superb. Go!

To dine at the Essenza Restorante attached to the Lido Chelo Residence, was one of the finest experiences of our holiday to Sardinia. The Restorante overlooks one of the cleanest beaches in the area with views out to sea. There is always something to watch including the acrobatics of para-sailing wind surfers.

You are made to feel most welcome the moment you enter, and in the evening you are offered a small morsel whilst you order. Naturally the menu features a good variety of fish dishes which can be quite imaginative - but all delicious, and cooked to perfection. The restorante has its own brand of olive oil, to accompany a good selection of breads including the local Sardinian flat crispy one, and their own house wine, which is value for money. The staff and owners are attentive, friendly, and will explain the dishes.

The Essenza Restorante offers good value for money and a memorable experience, so much so we ate there twice. Well done!

Room Tip: We didn't stay in the Residence but would highly recommend the restorante

We stayed in a beach side appartment for 1 week during peek season. Rooms were clean, beds were crisp and slept like home. The terrace right on the beach was great, we could relax with a book and drink, while keeping an eye on the kids while they enjoyed them selves on the beach with the neighbours kids. The hotel has a private area on the beach an offers 2 beach chairs and a parasol. Sunbeds were extra. The kitchen was well equiped, the gas hobs not always working properly. Although we did not use it, the owner even offered us to use his BBQ. Owners Sandro and Sandra were very kind and helpfull! The bathroom was large, the floor a bit slippery after use, carefull with the kids! Every morning we enjoyed a cappuchino with croissants prepared by the hotel and we had 2 great diners prepared by the up stairs restaurant and was served on our terrace. A super service. Since the location is right on the beach, there is some noise in the evenings. This was no problem at all because we could close the windows and switch on the airco. We planned to explore arround Bosa, but only managed to visit Bosa, since we hardly left the appartment. we will certainl return!

We stayed in a seaview suite on the groundfloor which was the only positive thing, the rest was totally negative.
The room was ugly, old fashioned and smelly. We were 4 persons, after every shower the bathroom was a LAKE due to the lack of a simple curtain and there was no drainage opening on the floor to permit us remove the water.
To each request we had about the room, as for missing lighting bulbs, the hotel owners had strange attitude. They wouldn’t accept their lack of service, a simple maintenance request would be considered as a favour. They behaved as we were anoying instead of welcomed customers.
At the beach they gave us only one umbrella with two beds and two of us had to pay extra.
We are not beginners in matter of travelling, we have been all over the world, even if we return to magnifisent Bosa we will never go back to this residencce.

When arriving in beautiful Bosa, we went straight to the Marina di Bosa which features some hotels/ appartments straight on the beach. After we had unsuccessfully asked for rooms in two locations, we came to the Residence Lido Chelo. The lady who showed us the rooms, was definetely not keen on any guests and we should have left the building immediately. Since the location on the beach was so nice, it was late and we had received two negative answers before, we decided to stay. Big mistake! The room was ok but the view to the beach could not be enjoyed since the shades were broken and could not be lifted! Towels and soap where not in the room and had to be asked for at reception (where usually nobody was present). The same unfriendly Italian lady handed out the soap and the towels with a face as we would rob the hotel. Breakfast was only offered for one hour, between 8 and 9 a.m. and check out was already at 10 a.m. Since the restaurant was right above the room, it was not only loud at night but also in the morning during the breakfast hours. Furthermore the reception was next to the room and since nobody was present there, nobody could pick up the phone which was constantly ringing from early morning. Last but not least one of the hotel clerks started at 8:30 to clean the beach umbrellas and beach benches right outside of our apparmtent with a high pressure-cleaner. We were glad to check out and leave the place and will never come back there and would not recommend anyone to stay there.
