Just returned for a week trip with my wife and 2 kids. Facilities are old and not maintained, food is far from Italian standards, service is poor! Had to pay for a suit upgrade and still was unacceptable quality. Dont go there, many other choices in Sardegna!

We are just returning from a weeks holiday at this resort complex.
First things first Sardinia is a beautiful island with some of the best beaches you’ll ever visit, food and drink round the island is amazing.
Now on to the actual holiday at Arbatax Park Resort Telis .
We booked via lastminute.Com and paid about 2/3rds of the normal asking price IE £3500. If I’d paid top dollar I would have been very disappointed if with the deal. IE All inclusive, family of 4.
We found communicating in ‘pigeon’ Italian with the staff difficult both at the reception and through out. The staff that served you drinks were the friendliest. They tried and we tried but understanding and mistakes were made.
The Resort is located on a peninsula east of the island 140 km from Caglaria airport. A beautiful journey about 99 minute drive. The Resort sit on about 100 acres next to the well trodden industrial port Arbatax.
The Resort is tired and shows it with some obvious maintenance issues that would have Uk health and safety up in arms. The Resort must be 30 plus years old. On saying this the maturity of the gardens in and about the Resort are beautiful and well maintained. It felt like who ever owns the complex had made their money and has lost a bit of interest.
As all inclusive guests you’ll find that it isn’t actually all inclusive at all. Ice creams are full price, eating outside the set hours are charged at full price, the best restaurants on the Resort you have to pay for. The drinks menu is limited to the islands draft beer, local white and red wine and basic spirits. They all tasted great mind you but there was limited choice. The one main restaurant where you eat all inclusive was more like a staff canteen and a bun fight at eating times. Not our thing really and nothing classy or enjoyable. The food is average, 3 stars a best. We didn’t enjoy our eating experience in the main restaurant one bit and resorted to eating away where we were paying full price. The best restaurant we found was the ‘Italian’ along side the main pool. The Vella restaurant the other side of the complex and classed as their best eating complex and had amazing views is a rip off and no better than a pizza restaurant .
We had snagging issues when we arrived that were never dealt with even though from the day we arrived we mentioned them to the main reception.
1/ the travertine flooring in our apartment had worn away in places leaving very sharpe craters that on one occasion drew blood from my daughters heel and on another occasion stubbing my big toe. They came and looked at the homes and did nothing.
2/ our fridge didn’t work. Forget it being a mini bar the only thing in it was the bottles of warm water we stored in there..
3/ the air conditioning was sounded like a loud washing machine when it kicked in normally about 2.30am.
None of these issues were dealt with through out our stay. All the receptionist said was that they’re report it and sorry and maintenance had been told !!
Pool time is interesting
So when we finally broke out after about the 3rd day !! we discovered the amazing beaches that sit either side of the Resort mainly Santa Maria nazarene to the north and Lido di Orri to the south, one of the best beaches I’ve ever been too..

I’d suggest this resort is Half board max no more than 7 days, never pay the full asking price and go and explore the surrounding area when your there.

Just returned from the resort, so everything is fresh in my mind!

Firstly, the positives.
- Lovely environment. Beautiful flowers everywhere, very picturesque
- Very friendly, helpful staff
- The animiation team were brilliant with our teenagers (who has a really great time)
- Plenty for kids to do e.g. kids club for different ages, paddle boarding, kyaking, ping pong etc
- Rooms basic but clean
- Small beach on site but also a shuttle to nearby beach, with beautiful clear water. Sunbeds included in the 5 euro cost. Also, a small cafe for drinks / snacks. Definitely worth the visit
- nightly disco which the older teens loved

Now for the bad:
- the food! There is very little choice, things run out very quickly. Probably the worst buffet I've experienced in an all inclusive resort of this size. Breakfast was fine but no variation. Some things were done well (griddled chicken, pork chops, fish and lasagne) but these ran out really quickly and took way to long to replenish
- we tried the pizza restaurant. The food here was good - great portion size and tasty food. However, they have no idea about dealing with groups and when we wanted to pay separately (all equal amounts) the manager got really annoyed and was cursing us under his breath (this happened with others in the group - it wasn't a one-off). This is a cashless resort, so we had no alternative but to pay this way
- the aircon couldn't cope with the temperatures. I did report it and someone came quickly to have a look but nothing was done about it
- it is very hilly - (not gentle slopes!)

My daughter (17) would love to go back there because she had such a great time but for me the food was too big an issue and outweighed the excellent facilities available.

Room Tip: If you have mobility issues make this clear when booking

Our family of four stayed at the resort's Telis hotel (parents, child aged 14, mother aged 78) for a week. If arriving by car, go straight through the white gated archway and stop at the reception area immediately behind it. Ignore the tiny No Entry signs and accompanying Italian text which does not apply to guests. The reception staff will show you where to park and provides a car to transport your bags to your room. It's important to note that you can't drive your own car to your room. The site is large and very hilly so to get around the different locations and to the car park most people take the resort bus which runs a round-robin every 20 mins. This time delay needs to be considered if you are running to a schedule.

The adjoining rooms were quite large, beds were OK and the en suite bathrooms were good. Maid service was good. The AC was effective.

We only booked the breakfast package rather than half board. We paid for the dinner buffet and the full service pizzeria on a couple of occasions, otherwise eating outside the resort. The buffet is very crowded at peak periods and while it was possible to find a table, the staff numbers can be inadequate therefore finding a table that has been cleared up can be challenging. The buffet food (breakfast and dinner) was repetitive with little variation. We found the quality of the pizzeria food to be good and the menu had a large variety in addition to pizza.

The entertainment is enthusiastic - not Broadway standard but fun, especially for children.

The nature park is large and interesting, especially for children, with lots of donkeys and boars to pet but there are not many exotic animals (don't expect a full-spectrum zoo).

The swimming pools all have different designs and are large. We enjoyed the daily swim aerobics in the 'Olympic' pool. There are plenty of other activities (archery, yoga, fitness etc) or you can just relax on a sun bed by a pool or on one of the scenic beaches.

We paid 25 euros each for a visit to the Spa which included the indoor baths and saunas and the outdoor pool. The pool area is relaxing and has an excellent view towards the mountains. The indoor baths' water temperature was tepid and they weren't as good as they looked but everything else was fine.

We stayed when the resort was at full capacity and it was creaking a bit at the seams but overall we had an enjoyable stay and the price was good value.

Please be aware of this hotel. I booked a holiday in January, then immediately called their contact details to cancel it. I had loaded my credit card details on the site - the hotel are denying that I called and have charged 1000 to my credit card account which they refuse to return. The lady I spoke to in January said her office was representing the Hotel which I don't think was open - she took my details and said she would cancel it - she did not ask for anything more and I left it at that. The hotel are now saying I needed to contact them in writing which I of course would have done if I had been asked. I am pursuing them through my credit card company. Please do not give them your card details. The whole stress of this situation has ruined our summer

Dear Marie D,
we regret that you have decided to leave this review aware that what happened is not our fault. We would like to clarify that you made 3 reservations, one was cancelled from our reservations department following your request by email, while the other one was cancelled directly from you through our website. Regarding the third reservation, you did not cancel it and you did not make a written request, which is strictly necessary to proceed with a cancellation; on top of that, we contacted you in February regarding a request you made on that reservation, however you never replied to that email warning us that you wished to cancel that reservation. In addition, some days before the arrival in the Hotel our Guests always receive a welcome mail and also in this case we did not receive a reply from you. Therefore, the colleagues of the reservations department could not imagine that you wished to cancel it. For all these reasons, we consider this review as unjustified. Regards,
