Hungry for great Indian food take-out in Omaha? Then, consider The Jaipur; this review focuses on the take-out aspects of the restaurant. The Jaipur web site includes the capability to order on-line; this is a very nice feature, and the app for ordering off the ample menu works very well. The Jaipur is centrally located in Omaha, in the Rockbrook area, conveniently off the highway spur that connects 80 and 680 and near the Dodge and 680 intersection. The menu covers the waterfront of Indian food staples and is very temping. The payment in the restaurant was quick and the packaging exceptional. The Jaipur did a great job of packaging all the individual items in containers fit for those items and placed all the containers in a sturdy paper sack. I was especially impressed with the packaging of the Tandoori Chicken in multiple layers of foil then slipped into a heat pouch. All our items were fresh and at the right temperatures when we got our items home. The Tandoori Chicken was perfectly cooked with a great grilled flavor and just a bit spicy. The Lamb Vindaloo was extremely good although the lamb could have been a bit more tender. The Naan and rice were very tasty; we especially liked the flavor and consistency of the rice. The condiments were perfect additions to the meal. The prices are decent but a bit high; overall, I give The Jaipur a good value rating on Indian takeout for the perfection of the packaging, ample menu, tasty Indian foods, centrally convenient location, and decent prices. Recommended for anyone in the Omaha area who has an Indian takeout craving.

This place is all show and not authentic. The food was fine, but there was little flavor. Great atmosphere, and the wait staff is very friendly, but there are a lot better Indian places in Omaha.

Went with the folks who wrote the review "Consistently great food" and agree with everything that they said. This was our first time eating Indian food, and it was very delicious. The menu had a good variety of entrees, the service was fast and friendly, and the prices were very reasonable. The only negative thing to report had nothing to do with the restaurant itself but with the behavior of the couple at the table next to us. When we arrived, they had already completed their meal and had take-home bags on the table. For at least the next half hour or more, they just sat there, sipped water while there were people at the door waiting for a table. They should have been more considerate!

Selected Jaipur for dinner to introduce friends to Indian cuisine. We love this restaurant and wanted to show off great Indian flavors that makes this place special. Waitstaff was very attentive even with the a full restaurant on a Saturday night. Ordered drinks, stuffed Naan with spinach, Lamb Bhuna, Tandoori Chicken and Shrimp along with Saag and Mulligatawny soups. The mango ice cream was a little icy but had good flavor. Everything was served hot and so tasty. Atmosphere is very cozy. Extensive menu, great vegetarian selections too!

Still a decent Indian food place, and their beers are still ok (although it would be nice to have some different varieties added once in a while). But we were not too impressed this time -- the saag paneer had no flavor, just spicy. the other vegetarian item we had - mushroom & paneer bhuna was good. It just seemed the other items didn't have as much interesting flavor as previous times. Waitress was nice. I guess I'd still recommend this, but just not very strongly. There may be better Indian style food elsewhere. Maybe it's just hit or miss -- if you get a bad day, it's not too great.
