We have visited this restaurant several times over many years with mixed results.
The setting is very good so we decided to give it another try following a change in ownership.
Our table was on the pleasant outside terrace. We arrived at 8pm and unfortunately we were seated in what we took to be some form of crèche as it seemed that every table surrounding us had at least on baby attached to it and unfortunately unlike most French children they all seemed to be bawling so loudly we could hardly make ourselves heard. We changed tables once the couple on the next door table started smoking.
Not a good start but the replacement table was better.
The menu looked good and the nibbles with the drinks were tasty.
Service however was haphazard and the food mediocre - I gave up on my duck as I really needed a chainsaw to cut it.
The cheese course was two slabs of a cheese that neither of us could identify and the pudding was really just a cut from a chocolate ice cream log ( though described as something else).
Great shame as the restaurant is in a lovely position but unless it really gets it's act together we will not go back.
