Owner description: Take a flight our float planes to the real Alaska whether flight seeing glaciers and mountains, bear viewing at remote lodges and national parks or fly in fishing. We've been flying people to Alaska's wilderness since 1963; located at Lake Hood in Anchorage, Alaska.

After being disappointed that our scheduled Katmai bear viewing flight had to be canceled because of the weather, we booked a scenic flight for the next day. It was marvelous! To the glacial lake north of Wasilla, and rare conditions even allowed our pilot to land on the lake for some great photos taxiing up to the glacier wall. Return flight back to Anchorage we saw a number of moose. Pilot was extremely helpful and put us in position for really good pictures.
Rust's Flying Service is highly recommended!

Great company for glacier flight tours! So easy to book online, quick response & confirmation of reservation. Greg was our pilot and he provided a great flight with historic information and answered all our questions. Lived it , would definitely do this again!!

My sister and I booked in for the Denali flight on Superbowl Sunday, and really could not have picked a more perfect day. The team in the office when we arrived were very friendly in getting us all organised on time for our pilot Chris.

You could really tell that Chris loves his job, as he was so excited that there wasn't a cloud in the sky. As we flew out to Denali he made sure to point out the various mountains on the horizon, as well as the animals down below, making sure that both sides of the plane knew what they were looking at and got to see some awesome sights.

When we got close to Denali Chris went into more detail, and once again made sure both sides of the plane got good opportunity to take nice photos. He even pointed out an avalanche that was occurring as we approached after I'd asked earlier about them. There is a myriad of glaciers around Denali as well which are spectacular to see.

On the way back we stopped in at Talkeetna for a rest break. Usually apparently the sky is filled with the little planes, but Superbowl Sunday paired with the middle of winter in Alaska, meant we only saw one other plane take off or land at Talkeetna. We also, got a nice view of the Anchorage skyline and inlet as we flew back to base.

Yes, it's not cheap, but being able to see the tallest mountain in North America (the third in the world), relatively up close on a crystal clear day, making us one of the 30% was well worth it!

This was an amazing trip in the winter to see Denali! My father and I joined a few strangers and together with our Pilot Dan (Awesome by the way) we got to see so many things from an advantage point few do. If you have the opportunity you should do this. I'm sure any of their other tours are just as great. The reviews of excellence once again did not prove wrong.

We went on Discover Denali flight seeing tour. Our Pilot, Chris, was awesome telling us stories and pointing out everything. Because the weather wasn't nice enough to see Denali he took us over a route showing us several glaciers and mountains. I think this would have been money well spent in the summer where weather might be more consistent and allow seeing Denali, animals etc. We were OK spending the money only because Chris went the extra mile and was such an awesome guy. If you go in the Winter you might want to watch the weather and wait to book.
