Literally the best. I'm a bit of a food snob and critical of mediocre food....this chowder will not disappoint. We live 2+ hours away and when we drive through Seattle, we go out of our way to get this chowder.

I’m sorry. I’m from New England. I’m a chowder snob. I don’t know how they won the Newport chowder festival three years in a row or whatever. Don’t get me wrong, it was good, but I’ve had better.

Pike Place Chowder is arguably the most popular and well-known restaurant in Seattle. The restaurant that is located in the Pike Place Market is so freaking crowded. We visited it on a Friday morning right before it opens, hoping to get the chowder fast. That did not happen. When we got there, the line is already 30 minutes long. We ended up going to their other location in the Pacific Palace. Way less crowded, but still very good food, and it has plenty of seating area for everyone to sit down, enjoy their chowder and sour bread. Their fish and chips are just mediocre. But the chowder is fantastic. The seafood element in the soup has very good flavors and texture. It is overall a good experience. Everyone should go try it if they're visiting Seattle.

Excellent Chowder and seafood rolls! Made with the freshest ingredients, it isn't hard to see how this place wins many awards throughout many chowder contests in the country for best seafood chowder. Their secret lies in the ingredients and care taken to prepare each bowl or bread bowl! Prices may be a little high, but it's seafood, of course it will be! At Pike Place Chowder, you will get what you pay for: a bowl of delicious chowder stewed to perfection and a fragrant roll overflowing with fresh fruits of the sea. Highly recommended!

Quite simply put some of the best chowder I have eaten. Maybe it’s the cold weather but the soup was amazing. The taste, the texture - wow. Also tried the cod and really fresh.
