Description: Attenzione: The Pink Door will be closed Jan. through March 2017 for remodeling! Our beloved establishment will be in winter hibernation as we make some exciting changes, but rest assured the deep, lovely wrinkles will still be there. Aside from a much-deserved kitchen overhaul, the stage will be relocated, and we’ll offer a magical new seating area with a view of the water and sky. You can look forward to the same delicious seasonal food, same eclectic entertainment, and the same caring, lovely staff waiting to serve you! Follow our construction progress on Instagram. We are teaming with Seattle-based Metis Construction, an independent community of craftspeople proudly running a worker-owned company; we’re thrilled to have its artisan touch. See you in Spring!

We made reservations at the Pink Door on our anniversary, which was on a Sunday evening a few hours after we had arrived to Seattle for our week-long vacation. Given the amazing ambiance, low romantic lighting, and waiters' more formal attire, we were surprised at some of the customers' casual attire as this place feels a bit upscale. The service was mostly good, but were very slow to bring the glass of wine my husband ordered; he didn't get it until after he had already finished his meal. The food we ordered was delicious: my husband had the cioppino and I had the meatless lasagna. The bread was just okay, but nothing to write home about. The water, of all things, was a huge disappointment; every time they filled my water glass (which is all I drank with my meal) it was so warm and the pitcher appeared to have no ice cubes. The show was a spectacular bonus and fun to watch.

We tried to get reservations more than 6 weeks out for dinner. Ended up settling for lunch. Great view of harbor and market from our window seating. Fresh tomato bruschetta. Best ciappino ever.
Could have eaten here every day of our one week stay. Unfortunately, entertainment not an option during lunch.

We dined here with another couple three times during our visit to Seattle and every visit we ordered something different. Chippino, risotto, pizza you name it and the result was better then your expectations. Don't miss this restaurant if you visit Seattle.

Before coping with the crowds at Pikes Place it's nice to duck into Post Alley for a quick bite and libation. The Pink Door is almost invisible if you don't know where you're going, but once inside you might decide to spend a few hours. The patio and dining room both have excellent views, the cocktails are creative and perfectly mixed, the wine list has something for every palate, but the star is the food. The selection is Italian and seafood inspired but strongly influenced by locally sourced ingredients. The squid ink spaghetti works perfectly with mussels and clams, the pappardelle showcases the bolognese ragu, the rissotto is creamy with plenty of spice and the pizza is as good as you'll find anywhere-but save room for dessert. The excellent service while you're savoring each bite is the icing on the cake. You may be tempted to forget about Pikes Place altogether and just spend the rest of your trip trying other selections from the menu.Be sure to make reservations well in advance-unfortunately the Pink Door is no longer a secret.

The food was outstanding, the ambiance and the view from the patio are great. Everything is very the generous, the drinks, portions and the prices are reasonable for the quality of food and portion sizes. The Caesar salad was once of the best I've ever had. I would definitely go back the next time I'm in Seattle.
