Maybe we should have read up a little more before visiting, but I was expecting much more about the evolution of pop music and culture. The Hendrix room was small and quite uninspiring unless you like admiring his suitcases and TWA first class rucksack. The Nirvana exhibition was very focussed on the grunge scene in Nth West America and was quite interesting. The majority of the rest of exhibit rooms were all based on sci-fi, gaming and horror props / costumes- somewhat interesting but not what I was expecting at all from a pop museum.
In summary it was ok, but I wouldn't have paid the money if I knew more about what was inside

I decided to check this museum out in the middle of a busy day I had planned in Seattle. I wish I could have spent more time here. A lot of cool stuff and it looks like they're expanding. This will be a must visit museum in a year or two when they add more exhibits.

A few interesting exhibits eapecially the guitars and fantasy world but the rest isn't worth it unless you are a real star treck fan. Better things to see and spend money on in seattle.

The museum was amazing and well thought out. All ages will enjoy it, as there truly is something for everyone. Give yourself an entire day here, especially if you like to read everything. Parking is nearby, and the staff are helpful. There's a free coat check too, which is nice especially if you're in a downpour and don't want to carry that jacket around!

Was expecting to be wowed, given the 2 people who had recommended this museum. The exhibits were thin, with modest pieces and less than exciting verbiage. The Hendrix exhibit, especially for a Seattle-area native, was pathetic.
