There were Easter sunrise services on Kite Hill. Plenty of green space to walk and stretch your legs.

Thank ConfederateMike

Good for a late afternoon or sunset view of the city , tons of free city bicycles lying around for use.
Really cool old gasworks pipes and beautiful skyline views .
Great for a picnic

This is a tiny little park on the north side of the city which provides a great view of the skyline. They do have parking but it can and will fill up quickly. There is only gas plant there which would make for some great photos however idiots have decided to tag it with graffiti which is really sad and disappointing. There is some minor construction going on which does have a part of the old machinery blocked up for a brief time. Overall nice little place to visit and I will certainly be going back to take photos of the city at night.

Funky park covering a toxic superfund site. Buried under this beautiful park is an old creosote pit. Great views of the city. Bring a blanket so you can cover the goose poop when you sit down (they don't tend to go onto the hill).

Thus far during my trip to Seattle, this is my favorite place. This park on the northern shore of Lake Union use to be a gas creation plant that converted coal into gas for almost 100 years. When natural gas was piped into the city, the plant was put out of business and fell into disrepair. Then some had the bright idea to use the location as a park and reclaim the space. The park is small and the hill there gives amazing views of the city. The plant is fenced off as they don’t want anyone to hurt themselves. I visited early in the day and there were less than 10 other people there. Later in the day, when I sailed passed it, there dozens all over the area as the day was sunny and warming. Really make the time to go.
