Spent three nights in June 2017 (Rm. 104). Great deal compared to other hotels over the same nights. Was in town a few days before a cruise. Perfect home base for sightseeing, and for meeting up with friends in Seattle. Great neighborhood--bars, restaurants and shops all close and walkable. A Safeway grocery store about a five-minute walk. Comfortable room with queen bed, plenty of natural light, separate sitting area with desk, two comfy chairs, fireplace and nice-sized bathroom (great water pressure in shower). Small fridge in room. A very satisfying continental breakfast--great coffee, juice, fruit (blueberries, raspberries, bananas, first cherries of the season), yogurt, pastries, hard-boiled eggs and cheeses. At the breakfast table, we met other guests from all over the U.S., and a couple from Finland. Bennett, the innkeeper, is happy to help with where to go or where to eat and how to get there. There's also a pool in a well-maintained yard with a Koi pond. Do yourself a favor... skip the Westin, the Marriott, Hilton and Fairmont. Try the Gaslight Inn for the opportunity to stay in a unique property with real character. When we return to Seattle, we plan to stay again at Gaslight Inn.

What a delightful place to stay! Situated in Capitol Hill, Bennett makes you feel very welcome into his wonderful home. The whole house is spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated with traditional furniture.

Breakfast is simple, but ample and sets you up well for the day, and Bennett's coffee wins my own "Seattle Best Coffee Award"!!. Breakfast is a great way to interact with other guests. You become one big family!

We caught the light railway direct from the airport to Capitol Hill, and from there it's around a 15 minute walk (although on arrival, tired after a long day of travelling, we did opt for an Uber for a couple of dollars!).

We walked to and from downtown everyday which took around 30-45 minutes each way, but its a nice walk with lots to see on the way.

The gaslight is in the perfect location for the many welcoming bars nearby which we visited most nights during our stay.

We departed from Seattle via Amtrak, so again, a short Uber ride to King St Station at 6.45am was easy and stress free, and enabled us to beat the lines for the Amtrak check in!

If you want a very sincere personal stay then do not hesitate to book!

Thanks once again for the wonderful stay! Paul & Mark

A fabulous place to stay! Owners are exceptionally hospitable. The home has been beautifully restored and furnished. Well located in Capitol Hill with easy access to the central city area and key attractions. Highly recommended.

The room was clean and exactly as advertised. Gorgeous antiques and a lovely window seat made the room feel grand and elegant. I loved the antique wardrobe in the room and the desk was great for working.

I just spent 6 nights at the Gaslight Inn. I enjoyed my favorite room on the 3rd floor - so comfortable and cozy. I try to book this room as I usually travel to Seattle alone. The room is spacious, the bed comfortable. What I like best about the Gaslight Inn is the warm welcome from staff and fellow guests. Everyone is so friendly. I love the area, now even more accessible with the extension of the light rail to Capitol Hill. It's an easy walk down Pike to downtown. I attended a conference at the Washington State Convention Center and looked forward to my walk every day. There were many great places to stop along the way home, like Victrola for coffee. I can't wait to stay there again.
