“Paradise Awaits!!”

Where to begin!! We loved this condominium. The only way we could convince ourselves to pack and go home at the end of our honeymoon was to promise we'd return some day to this very same condo.
This was our first time to the Big Island. Kona seemed like a good town to base ourselves from, considering the good weather and nice little towns around us that were easy to get to.
I choose this condo because of the view, the space, and my husbands reaction when I showed him the pictures on the internet. He was really excited about the ocean being inches away from our condo.
When we arrived, we were not let down. We'd already been down to the park next door to get acquainted with the locals that are there every day, eating hard boiled eggs, relaxing and surfing. This is one of the most prime surfing spots on the big island.
The condo is huge! Especially for two. The kitchen was really nice and it has a fully stocked pantry, a dishwasher, blender, toaster, and coffee machine. The shower we used was a nice size with good water pressure. The balcony is nice and long with four chairs to relax on and watch the surfers, sunset, crabs and sea turtles. We were not there during whale season. In the front entry way, there are So many beach supplies, it's incredible. Fishing poles, snorkel gear, flippers, boogie boards, ice chests, beach towels, chairs, beach bags.... You want for nothing.
Parking is easy and the pool is kept up very well, although we didn't use it at all. But I did walk by it to get to the tide pools just below. There are so many crabs and sea urchins and sea cucumbers and barnacles in the tide pools...It's worth exploring. Just be safe on those rocks.
For those who smoke, there is a little garden area just outside of the elevators that is really nice and peaceful. Other than that, there is no smoking anywhere in the building.
There is the constant heartbeat of waves crashing on the ground below. It's not too loud or distracting and just becomes the norm. I Loved waking up to the sound of waves and the very subtle light changes in the sky in the morning. The surfers are usually in the water by 6:30am. The bed has really comfortable linens, but the mattress is bouncy, not firm. That would be my only complaint.

There is tons of closet space, a safe, washer/dryer (for large loads), WiFi, ceiling fans and nice lighting. There is no air conditioner, but we were there at the end of July and never needed A/C.
There is a nice little market just across the street with food, drink and ATM. The two lane road (Ali'i) is easy going and easy to get across.
If you go North on Ali'i (left out of the drive), you'll get to a big town with many restaurants to choose from and shops to browse.
If you go South on the 11 hwy, you will find small little towns with coffee shops, restaurants and antique shops sprinkled all around.

We could walk to magic sands beach from the condo (south on Ali'i) for some easy going boogie boarding and snorkeling.

The entire experience was magical and If we could do it all over again, the only thing we would change would be a longer stay.

We are glad Mimmie had such a great stay! We want to clarify that we provide boogie boards, we don't have any surfboards, although you can rent them right next door at Millers.

The lanai is awesome to relax, watch sunsets, have dinner, etc. The condo was very clean and supplied some games and sports equipment for children from toddler to teenager. The grounds were very well maintained and clean. Nice and quiet area, close to grocery store, liquor, and pharmacy. Golf course and marina within walking distance. Ample room for a group of four.
