Nice and convenient beach to downtown Kona but can get crowded quickly. Parking is on the road or down the street at a public lot.

This is a very small beach park with limited parking. Be sure to get there early if you want to park and get a nice place to lay on the beach, very popular place located very close to downtown Kona.

You need to be a good ocean & wave person for this beach. But if you respect the waves & the break this beach is wonderful. Crystal clear waters with a reef just off the beach. Local sea turtles seen everyday & lots of fish.

This was our first beach we went to and it was beautiful and sandy. But the next day the beach was gone and the only thing there was lava rock. Depending on weather the water will wash the sand away and leave rock. So hopefully you are lucky when you visit to get the beach but when the rocky shore is there it’s a great place to watch natives surfing.

The clear and warm water makes this beach in Kona one of the best in Big Island. With free parking available on the road nearby, public restrooms and showers makes you stay longer to enjoy the beach. If it is too sunny you can stay under the trees around and get some rest.
