Stayed here during the IM World Championships and beyond the act that the location is perfect, the staff is beyond friendly and caters to your needs. Its definitely not a luxury hotel, but the rooms are good, beds comfy, and a nice balcony to sit out on. Also has a mini fridge in every room which is key when you step out into the hot and humid outdoors. Overall a great value, and with a friendly staff it makes for a nice place to stay.

Room Tip: Ask for a room looking out on the water

Great place for the location, price, and Aloha spirit. All the staff but especially the front desk ladies are very cool and especially accommodating. Pick a locally owned family hotel to support while visiting Hawaii...and spread Aloha.

The room was quite pleasant with a balcony; however the view was mixed as the room was facing the back of the hotel - just do not look down and you'll enjoy a view of the harbor in the distance! the staff was very helpful. I liked the fact breakfasts were served at a restaurant nearby. Location was good: and central, at the foot of shops and restaurants, across from the Marriott's.!

This dated place is ok if what you are looking for is just a place to sleep.
If you are travelling with family I suggest you look elsewhere. They have basic amenities (I called down to get a fork for my daughter’s left over lunch...none available)
We had to switch rooms at 9pm when my kids were already sleeping because the mini fridge was not working.
The pool closes at 630pm.
You have to constantly resign into the wifi as you get logged out.
