We walked up to Skrip from Posteira, taking a wrong turn that resulted in a fantastic detour along a cycle route, that took us through olive groves and the most lovely landscape with some breathtaking views. The paths were well defined but very undulating. Arriving in Skrip we easily found our way to the Museum of Olive Oil. This was a lovely place. We were greeted with a Myrtle liquor and then given a very interesting tour of this old olive oil press. Our guide spoke in Englush and was a fount of knowledge about the history of olive oil production on Brac. At the end we tried oil and some excellent fig preserve. This is a little gem of a museum. On the way back down we took the route we had missed earlier and it proved much easier under foot, but I am glad we took a wrong turn and had the journey up that we did.

If you go to this neat little museum, take the short but really informative tour. It's totally worth it. The guide tells you a lot about oil making history and you can ask him anything you want to know about the island. Also you get a very yummy oil and jam tasting.

We visited this museum yesterday. Our guide was Natasa who was a fantastic host. We were offered a glass of liquor. It was very interesting and we learned lots. Natasa also gave us information about other areas to visit on Brac.
Well worth a visit,it's a beautiful place.

Made a relatively quick stop to learn how olive oil was made years ago. Definitely worth a stop if you're on Brac. Did a tasting - be careful. They'll give you a big shot, but a little sip will do the trick. The old equipment is in great shape and the quick tour is interesting and educational.

Museum is located in Skrip, the oldest village on Brac. Visit to this museum was very interesting and educative. Friendly and kind staff and owners will welcome you with homemade cherry brandy or some other alcoholic beverage and homemade marmalade or some similar food. They will explain you the process of manufacturing oil and show you old oil factory (museum itself). If you want you can buy some olive oil or other homemade product. All in all, great experience, worth of visiting!!!
