This cosy family-run hotel is home to a mixed crowd of Austrian holidayers and Dutch Sunweb-subscribers, with the majority of the latter having read somewhere the hotel is "just 50 meters from the slopes".

The hotel is located right on the dash of Saalbach-Hinterglemm, a perfect location for admirers of the Winterwanderweg and other mountain walking or hiking activities, but it's not ideal for fans of the over 200km of slopes surrounding the area. A skibus connects well to the lifts in Hinterglemm and walking takes about 14 minutes. For patrons of the night seeking relief halfway the trip: the fence surrounding the field on the LHS is not electric, so feel free.

A few remarks on the amenities: decent beds in spacious rooms, well-equipped kitchen and sufficient parking space.

Room Tip: Go for the rooms in the chalet just behind the hotel!

Just can't fault this family run hotel. Food is excellent, rooms spacious and clean. Staff are friendly and helpful. facilities for skiers are excellent with dry room and lockers. Definitely value for money compared to France..........

Just spent the week in this hotel, the staff are all super friendly. Food was to a good standard. It's a 10 minute walk into the town centre and if you want to off piste it you can get almost to the door. It has a very nice spa area, which is all modern and clean. I had a single room at the front of the hotel which was spacious with good views and a balcony.
The negative points are only minor ones - towels in the rooms are rather small and getting dated and the bed linen is getting a bit bobbly. I would definatly stay here again .

We booked a holiday through Crystal, last minute when this was the only option left. I was apprehensive having read some reviews on here, however we had a fantastic week.
I have stayed in apartments, and some of the posher hotels in Saalbach and to be honest this had the best balance.
Our room (3) was fantastic and very spacious with modern bathroom facilities.
Breakfast and dinner was fine and all staff we encountered were friendly and efficient.
Location between the two towns is fine with a great ski bus service right outside the hotel.
Apres ski in Saalbach is amazing the best I've experienced in 28 years of skiing and once you go once, you'll go back. You can experience the best of Apres and be back for dinner at a taxi cost of around 14 Euro.

Conclusion- if you want all the trimmings you'll have to stay and pay for the Neu house etc, if you want a lovely good value for money, family run hotel stay here, you won't regret it.

Due to delay we arrived at 9.00pm to find that the restaurant was shut ,as was the reception our keys were left on the desk for us to help ourselves.
Got to our room which was recently refurbished with a typical Austrian Twin Bed plus a single bed giving us plenty of room.
Bathroom consisted of new shower,wc & vanity wash basin with loads of storage for your toiletries added bonus of a hairdryer.
Rooms cleaned every day and fresh towels every other day.
Went into the cellar Bar to enquire about an evening meal and was offered pizza.
Having been a little disappointed with the lack of a welcome ,the week got better and better, all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
Meals: A good standard for a 3✳️ Hotel consisted of salad, soup, main course and desert.
Ski Storage:Excellent, every room had a lockable heated unit with ample space for skis, boots etc in the basement.
Location:Ski Bus Stop directly outside the Hotel for Hinterglemm & Saalbach. No need to carry skis any distance to the slopes.
The Resort (Ski Circus)is ideal for intermediate skiers as some of the blue runs are more like reds not an issue for us but a beginner could be in difficulty as no alternative route for example on run 2b from top of Schattberg X-press into Vorderglemm.
Both Hinterglemm & Saalbach both have Nursery Slopes with ski schools with Hinterglemm being the closer to the Hotel .
Mountain Restaurants are all of a very high standard with excellent food quality and cleanliness. Try the local delicacy Grostal (potatoes, bacon and onions with a crispy fried egg on top ) very filling and hearty food.
The Resort is also famous for its Après Ski and a visit to the Goasstall must not be missed for plenty of Cheesy Music and to watch the inebriated drunks try and ski the last 100 meters to the bottom. Hilarious
Overall a fantastic week with powder snow for the majority of the week & value for money Hotel.Darren & Joanne .Bolton
