“Relaxing cabin off the beaten track with a great breakfast.”

Enjoyed our brief stay (2 nights) here for Labor Day. I imagine it was hectic in other campgrounds/hotels, but not here with Cindy and Stoney. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast and swapping military stories. Their place is a ways outside of Rapid City, but very centrally located for the bulk of Black Hills activities including Custer, Hot Springs, and Mt. Rushmore. Definitely try to find this place in the daylight, but once you do you'll enjoy hiding out in these cabins that sleep 3-4 comfortably. Everything is clean and the bathroom facilities modern (shower, but no bathtub). I would stay here again.

We stayed at Double D for 5 nights and were very comfortable. It was wonderful to be able to settle in to the cabin and have some family fun. The cabins are 2 miles down a gravel road, which made for a very quiet and relaxing environment. Cindy and Stoney are friendly and gracious hosts. They were very helpful with planning our sightseeing and other things to do. Stoney makes a great breakfast (ask for the apple puff!). Our 10 year old son was happy to have room to practice shooting his bow and our dog LOVED being able to run around the property rather than being cooped up in a hotel. This is a great place for people traveling with pets who are looking for personal service with a little peace and quiet.

“We enjoyed our stay at Double D B&B”

It was about 20 miles south of Custer, but we enjoyed unwinding in their cabin at the end of each day. Stoney and Cindy had a hot breakfast and good conversation waiting for us each morning. The cabin was comfortable. We liked the decor. It's the only place we've ever stayed where the kitchen sink served as the bathroom sink, too, but it worked.

Liked best: seeinf all the stars at night
Liked least: the distance out from the attractions - the last several miles were on a dusty gravel road

These cabins are very rustic but includes all the commodities you would find in a pricey hotel. The fact that the cabins where built with local pine gives it a unique look and feel. You cannot be more relaxed sitting on the cabin porch looking at all the deer in the meadow. Cindy and Stoney are extremely friendly and knowledgeable on the local attractions. Breakfast each morning was also Delicious and provided a great start to our days.
