Spent 2 nights here in late March. They don't normally open until April but because we had contacted them they made an exception. Ours was the only cabin occupied out of the 5 so it was very peaceful. We had keen frosts both nights and had to scrape ice off the car each morning, but the heating in the cabin was excellent and we were really snug. Everything was lovely and clean and the shower excellent. The location was beautiful, lots of bird life and evidence of elk. It would be lovely in the summer around the fire pit. We really felt away from it all. The people at the wood yard where we collected the key were very helpful and friendly.

Cabin was comfortable with bedroom + 2 extra beds - there was nothing to cook with + no stove, no plates or utensils - fishing pond had no fish ( that we could find) - had to make our own meals- had small refrigerator - had dish network but hardly any channels

We arrived late and it was a little dark. The light was on as promised. The cabin was clean and the beds were the best on our trip. The surprise was in the morning when we looked behind our cabin. It was out of a book. The little pond was beautiful with the backdrop. We had to move on but a long weekend at this place would be good for your soul.

Room Tip: We were in cabin 4.

Thecabins were clean, roomy, perfect!!! The lake and firepit at night were so relaxing and family friendly!!! Plenty of firewood. Also a grill and picnic tables. This is a jewel of a place and we will stay here again. Lots of wildlife and friendly staff!!!!

Room Tip: We stayed in cabin 3. It has 2 Queen Beds, a kitchen table and chairs, Microwave and fridge.

We stay at Gold Camp Cabins every time we come to the Black Hills. We've tried other places and they just don't compare to the clean, extremely quiet setting of these cabins. Owners are very friendly and our cabins are always clean. They've added new beds and mattresses to the cabins this year as well as some updated decor. Great place to take your family if you want peace and quiet. Fresh firewood brought to the fire pits daily as well as charcoal grills that are provided for you. A cute pond the kids can fish in as well. Highly recommend!
