The hotel is a neat little property near the French Quarter, which has tremendous potential. Rooms are smallish typical of a city hotel in an older building, which was not unexpected. Staff was mostly friendly and professional.
Room however was not up to Marriott standards in my opinion. The bedding was cheap and extremely uncomfortable. Tiny little pillows that offered no real support, and a mattress that was like a brick. Bed was so uncomfortable, I finally checked out and moved to another Marriott property for my final night in New Orleans as my back could not tolerate another night.
Room cleanliness was another issue. The shower had mold growing in the tile, around the glass door, and around the floor where it meets the wall. The wood floors also seemed dirty and in need of a good mopping.
If you want a quirky hotel experience, this is for you. Property is very unique and has New Orleans vibe,.....as long as you don't care about bed comfort or cleanliness.
I stay in Marriott hotels because they typically have the most comfortable bedding.
Cannot believe that this is a Marriott propertyMore
