Great place for Jazz so they stay. We had trouble getting into to any place the night of, so I guess you have to plan ahead.

Go here if you want the energy and music but without the adolescent indulgence of Bourbon Street. Many different bars with acts, plus street musicians, plus crafts market open in the evening.

Great music, outdoor art, and street music. Go to bourbon st though for drunk tourists and booze by the half gallon.

Great place to hear good music. If you’re lucky, you get to hear the young musicians playing the traditional New Orleans sounds. Visit the Blue Nile on Fridays to see Kermit Ruffins and drink hurricanes. Visit Dat Dog for good food. Visit Vaso for music and wings.

If you want to hear some great music this his the place to go - not Bourbon Street. Awesome bands at several venues. If you have kids under 21, go before 6pm. Definitely better atmosphere at these locations for under 21 than Bourbon Street , but after 6pm the kids weren’t allowed in the 2 places we went to.
