8 couples started at Soubo with our tour guide Brian
Pork rinds, Sweet Potato Beignets and Boudin balls. Finished with a Sazerac. Best part of tour
Dropped by the Pepper Palace for hot sauce samples. Not sure why this stop was a part of a food tour. Next stop was Leah’s Pralines. We each got an individual wrapped Praline and a sample of bacon brittle. Both yummy. We then walked to Bourbon O bar for a to-go- cup of Roffignac. This was a awful drink and I think everyone threw it away. Side note: we were staying at the Bourbon Orleans hotel and this wS the worse bar. We finally made it to Nola PoBoys. We had a catfish PoBoy which as good and a muffuletta which as not. Better at the Napoleon House and best at Central Grocery. Little more walking to Tajugue for brisket and a grasshopper. This was a stand up bar that was crowded. Finally to Tableau for a French 75 and Gumbo. Gumbo was good but again I had much better in New Orleans. Drink was another that was not enjoyed by the group
I know you can not please everyone but there are better drinks in NOLA like the Hurricane, the Vieux Carre’ and Milk Punch to name a few
Overall we enjoyed the tour guide and the company. We enjoy food tours in very state we vist
