This restaurant is on the corner of Jackson Square. It is beautiful inside, with white table cloths and gorgeous exposed brick. The vibe is formal and elegant: dress up to eat here. Service is highly professional and the food is outstanding. I really loved my spicy gingery cocktail, an example of the original and delicious concoctions from the restaurant bar. My glass of red wine was nice too. Other standouts included my amazing blackened redfish and the wonderful flourless chocolate cake dessert. I had the house salad as an appetizer, and it was quite nice. DEFINITELY make a reservation here. Prices are high but the quality merits it.

So much to do in this area. At night with the lights the area is beautiful. Taking the ghost tour in this area at night was awesome.

We had our most memorable meal in New Orleans here and it was fine dining at a whole new level. Perfectly balanced flavors and excellent service. The pecan crusted drum! Also, the goat cheese and shrimp crepes appetizer- exceptional!

A friend and I were in New Orleans during Thanksgiving week. We were out and about on Thanksgiving day around noon and stopped into Muriels to see if we could secure a reservation for that day. They said about an hour and a half. We grabbed a Bloody Mary and went to lounge in the seance room upstairs while we waited for our table. If you haven't been up there go. We hadn't even finished our drinks when we were alerted a table was ready. Not even 20 minutes later. We ordered off the Prix Fixe menu. The food was outstanding! We ate like we were going to the chair. Our waitress was remarkable. She was so helpful and even though the place was jumping she was as cool as a cucumber. What a great experience.
