Superior Seafood popped up when we googled "Where to Eat in New Orleans with Children." This is a restaurant where everyone can be happy. My husband and I were delighted with the dark wood decor, high ceilings and superb seafood offerings. Our grandchildren were confined in a comfortable large booth with a charming and patient waitress; they were very happy with their grilled cheese sandwiches and milk. I look for lighter fare in New Orleans and was gratified to find a soup and salad with a lobster and crab soup and a filling and delicious green salad. My husband loved his beet salad and gumbo with rice. All in all, Superior Seafoods was a place we will return gladly. Everyone was happy.

This place has great ambiance with piano men (at least on Sunday when we went) and amazing happy hour for raw oyster lovers. Their happy hour is daily from 4 to 6:30 and you can get your fill of oysters for a fraction of the price you would pay elsewhere especially in french quarters so it’s definitely worth the trip. Their appetizers were delish as well, we had ceviche and crab cake stuffed mushrooms both very good. Unfortunately we didn’t even get to main course after eating four dosen oysters and appetizers but the selections looked good on the menu. Service was very attentive but prepare to wait a little for your oysters as the place gets busy during happy hour but no worries just grab their half priced house red or white or a cold beer while you wait. The place is right across one of the St. Charles streetcar stops so it’s super easy to get to.

We came here for lunch and were very impressed. The frozen pomegranate mojitos were amazing. The service was friendly. The building and decor and ambience in and of itself was great. My husband had bacon wrapped oysters po boy and I had the shrimp stuffed with andouille sausage and cheese, it sounds different but boy it was good. Served atop whipped potatoes. My dish was incredible. The waitress said it was their most popular dish, hence why I ordered it. My husband loved his as well. Definitely a great place to eat!

Spent a couple nights in New Orleans and Superior Seafood was the best meal. The grilled trout was perfectly cooked, sides were all delicious and the craw fish macaroni was fabulous. Service was top notch as well. Superior Seafood can get a little noisy but that's to be expected of a popular restaurant. If you are staying in the Garden District, don't miss this one. Food was better than ACME in the French Quarter.

Raw oysters, charbroiled oysters, crawfish cornbread, blackened catfish, pasta del mer, pecan encrusted drum, and an assortment of desserts..... all superior! Couple that with great service and that sums it up. One of our top stops for a great Nola meal experience!
