This is a late review. Last summer we took our 12 year old granddaughter to NOLA for her birthday. She chose this city because she wanted to experience its history and culture, and her goal is to become a chef.
Our guide, Octavio, arranged a private cooking afternoon with Chef Adrienne and the kitchen staff. We had eaten there for lunch and enjoyed the fresh food especially the barbecue shrimp NOLA style, the amuse boucherie, the fried oysters with horseradish, and a mint with linguini dish as well as several desserts.
For her cooking lesson, she was able to spend the afternoon learning to make several recipes plus learning about kitchen tools and their care and seeing what goes into getting a restaurant ready for people to come in and enjoy dinner.
Chef Adrienne took her under her wing as did everyone working there. We joined her and Octavio for dinner and enjoyed another delicious meal.
We will go back
This spring when we are in town for a meeting.
Thanks to you all
