We visited the Gardens during a Garden Show, the staff keep it well maintained, it is kind of off the path, and really on the way to Metairie, but the home and grounds are simply beautiful. If you like formal gardens, visit.

This is the the Versailles of New Orleans. This house is lovely. Another thing like Versailles they have gardens. Also their is a doll collection. Lastly this house has basement. Which is unusual for Louisiana.

Beautiful home and gardens built by wealthy family in late 1920's. Easy Uber drive just outside city was our backup plan when we could not visit the plantations further away. Pleasant informative guide.

Seems that few people know about this beautiful home and gardens even though it is very close to New Orleans. We went on a rainy winter day, but the gardens were still gorgeous. The house tour was one of the best I've ever had. We got information about the house and furnishings, but also personal information about the owners. Excellent!

We had the nicest tour guide of the house, she knew everything from the materials used to build the house to current events and shows that happened in the house. I loved the rooms the doors and the property was beautiful. I would recommend taking a few hours of your trip to see this little bit of NOLA paradise. Also, there is a restaurant to eat here that i wish someone mentioned before. Unfortunately we didn't get to see the fountains on because the show CLAWS was recording a few days before we arrived and they clogged the ducts or something but nothing the staff or anyone could have done about that. I am a big AHS fan and loved that the living room of the house is were Precious is killed!! so it was in fact amazing..
