The gardens are beautiful with there being different themes, fountains, and waterfalls. At this time the flowers in bloom were mostly iris. There are no pictures allowed to be taken inside the house. The art, architecture, inventiveness of style, and beauty should not be missed. The elderly tour lady was so very knowledgeable.

We visited the Gardens during a Garden Show, the staff keep it well maintained, it is kind of off the path, and really on the way to Metairie, but the home and grounds are simply beautiful. If you like formal gardens, visit.

This is the the Versailles of New Orleans. This house is lovely. Another thing like Versailles they have gardens. Also their is a doll collection. Lastly this house has basement. Which is unusual for Louisiana.

Beautiful home and gardens built by wealthy family in late 1920's. Easy Uber drive just outside city was our backup plan when we could not visit the plantations further away. Pleasant informative guide.

Seems that few people know about this beautiful home and gardens even though it is very close to New Orleans. We went on a rainy winter day, but the gardens were still gorgeous. The house tour was one of the best I've ever had. We got information about the house and furnishings, but also personal information about the owners. Excellent!
