From valet to doorman, check in to check out, price, pool, the beautiful room, and of course location, this hotel is by far the best stay I've had in New Orleans! My husband and I definitely recommend this hotel!

This is the 5th hotel we have visited in New Orleans- it is the best of any so far and also the most expensive, certainly so during Jazz Fest. But it is a superior house in most all ways. The location on Conti, between Bourbon and Royal is pretty perfect and with an interior facing room very quiet at night. . Excellent front desk for both check in and check out.
Attractive modern decor in both public and guestroom spaces. Pleasing colors and arts throughout. They have decided to give patrons lots of furniture in both public and guestroom spaces with the result that the spaces feel a little crowded and walkways are somewhat narrow- but you can always find a place to sit. The interior courtyard is attractive with nice furnishings and a small pool. Quality employees everywhere, make the stay most pleasant. Our room was medium sized with a smallish bathroom (see tip). Excellent bed and very good linens. Very good towels and excellent toiletries. Large flat-screen TV with lots of channels. It would have been nice to have a small refrigerator in the room.
The hotel offers a host of complementary services: a very good buffet breakfast ( unfortunately it is the same every day) , fast wireless internet, daily newspapers ( in the lobby), local phone calls, bottled water and a drink at check in. All of this, as an additive to the overall quality of the house would make this a very good value at the regular rate. But market pricing being what it is, the rate nearly doubles during Jazz Fest- making a not inexpensive room, pretty pricey; therefore the downgrade for value. Would we stay here again- you bet.

Room Tip: Long, narrow shower; at at 27" wide and 6'9" tall ( shower head at 6' from the floor)- this might be an issue for large or tall people.

This hotel deserves its high reputation and impressed us from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. We liked the front desk and bar service, great location, comfortable rooms and beds, good inclusive breakfast and the courtyard with pool.

A little story which shows how good the service is. My wife asked if they had natural yogurt. They didn't but one of the breakfast staff rushed out to the nearest grocery store to buy some. That's literally going the extra mile!

Highly recommended.

We stayed here fir 3 nights the first weekend of Jazz Fest. The staff were incredibly hospitable and helpful from getting out of the cab until we got back into the cab to leave. A nice breakfast was included. The rooms were nice and quiet even though we were only a 1/2 a block from Bourbon Street. We had two doubles which were not very big so we slept in separate beds. Have to say, we both had a great nights sleep each night. The beds were very comfortable

The bar area is nice the bar tender made good drinks. When the staff in the bar saw my wife had hurt her foot from walking at the fest all day, they went and got ice and stopped by frequently to make sure she was ok. The pool area is a nice quiet out of the way area to relax and lounge but don't expect to go swimming. It's not a big pool, but the lounge area is very nice.

We would definitely stay at this boutique hotel again. We stayed at some of the big chain hotels and this boutique was much nicer except for the Ritz but for the money this was a much better value and the service was just as good. The rooms and decor were just not as over the top.

Room Tip: Get a king bed if you want to sleep together, but consider the two queens to get a good nights sleep.

I had done lots of research on hotels in New Orleans as we wanted to stay in French Quarter. Decided on Le Marais and was not disappointed. I was concerned about noise as it is so close to Bourbon Street and I am a very light sleeper. However we had requested a room away from elevators and facing courtyard. I am sceptical when people say their room was quiet but let me assure you, it was and no need for any earplugs. The car park is across the road which isn't clear from the outset. We had to park and go across to the hotel to ask where valet parking was - so not very clear. We pulled our luggage up the ramp and the young guy from Le Marais rushed across to help. Don't know his name but he also brought our luggage up to our room. He was so nice and helpful.

The location of this hotel is great - within walking distance of almost everywhere in the French Quarter and beyond if you like walking.

Had our two welcome drinks and asked the girl at bar about places to eat and drink. Very helpful. Free breakfast was good and no paper plates and cups which was nice.

All staff were friendly and helpful. My only comment and it is only minor is that the towels were not so "fluffy" as other hotels I have been in but this is only tiny criticism.

So glad I chose this hotel. Unlikely to be back in New Orleans but thanks guys for a lovely stay.
