We held a large corporate event at the hotel during July over 3 days-- the hotel was an excellent venue-- amazing food, great service, set up, attention to details. The only thing we didn't like about the hotel was the slow elevators. They hosted an amazing tea luncheon, a jazz band so we could have a "second line" parade through the hotel, and delicious meals, and well-coordinated meetings. Rooms were quiet, clean, very comfortable. Slept very well.

Room Tip: higher floors quieter, elevators are a bit slow

Dear Leslie J,

Thank you very much for the 5 star review of our hotel. We appreciate that you took the time to write about your experience and the great service provided by our team. We hope that you were able to try our signature restaurant Trenasse - it features local rustic Louisiana fare. Of course, we have Pete's - which features beef from a local sustainable farm. Please tell your friends about your stay and come back to visit very soon.

Stayed for a leisure trip. Pros: Destiny at Pete's and the comfy beds. Everything else: The WiFi wouldn't stay connected, even when I talked to tech support for 30 minutes. The light in the closet turned on/off by itself when I wasn't near it. The safe was broken when I arrived. Called the front desk, who told me to come get a key (!) for a new room. Packed and moved rooms. The next room still didn't have decent WiFi - had to use my phone hot spot. THEN the safe in the new room wouldn't open, and they didn't have a replacement. I got the "Stay More and Save on Breakfast" package and no one at Pete's (breakfast restaurant) had heard of it. This was a VERY frustrating trip. And *no one* that I talked to with the hotel at guest services really cared about any of it. The hotel is starting to look run down and old. It definitely doesn't have the panache deserving of the InterContinental name. The staff is unfriendly, except for Destiny at Pete's, who is amazing. I will be looking for another hotel in the CBD.

Room Tip: Stay away from St. Charles Ave if you're a light sleeper.

Very pretty hotel! Upscale, great location. Parking was a little expensive- but it is everywhere in New Orleans. Pool was a little small but worked fine for us to cool off after a fun day of exploring.
