Owner description: Located in historic Uptown New Orleans Audubon Zoo offers an exotic mix of animals from around the globe, engaging educational programs, hands-on animal encounters and lush gardens. Unique natural habitat exhibits—such as the award-winning Louisiana Swamp and Jaguar Jungle—showcase the relationship between people and nature. Don't miss the daily animal presentations, chats and feeds; our highly endangered whooping cranes, Amur leopards and orangutans; our white tiger; and our mysterious white alligators. Audubon Zoo is often ranked among the country’s best for innovation and entertainment value!

The zoo was really nice. All the exhibits were very well placed and flowed really well. While the zoo is small compared to others, my teenagers and young son enjoyed themselves while learning about the animals. We were actually able to be closer to animals than most zoos. The Roman Candy cart was on site, and we were lucky to partake in the goodies.

We particularly enjoyed the exhibit built to look like the bayou. Also delighted to see elephants and the rhino. Regret that we skipped the frog house.

We were in New Orleans looking for something to do besides just wonder around the city. The weather was perfect and we enjoyed this relaxing day so much. They have plenty of animals and lots of entertainment for children.

Had a fun half day wondering through the New Orleans Zoo. The animal variety was not as large as most big city zoos that I've experience. I think better for kids than adults without kids.

Great example of a small zoo with outstanding exhibits. Really liked the natural settings of the various animals. The white alligator is quite spectacular. Well spent 2-3 hours of time.
