“Key to the legacy of New Orleans”
Reviewed 28 March 2012

The French Quarter is a must for first-time New Orleans visitors. If you have more than three days in NOLA, venturing outside the Quarter is probably wise. But if you have limited time there is much to see and do in the FQ, and some of the best restaurants and attractions the city has to offer are here. Jackson Square, the Cabildo, Cafe du Monde, Central Grocery (muffalettas), Royal Street and much more. I could write a book about my pathological love of New Orleans (and I probably will). But the French Quarter is a reflection of the diverse past and cultural influences of New Orleans, and is key to the survival of the city. Enjoy it.

“New Orleans is unique”
Reviewed 28 March 2012

The atmosphere, the food, the drink, the crazy people, Mardi Gras. This is a very unique place in the US. I love strolling around and just looking at things. Even better with a hurricane in hand. Or brunch in a patio on the weekend before the crowds hit.

“Worth wandering around”
Reviewed 28 March 2012

Well, what can I say? If you're drunk and in the mood to PARTY, especially in the evenings, this place will appeal to you. In the daytime it seems a bit tawdry - but I suppose during holidays everything seems different. I just thought all the store fronts, bars, and peep shows seemed very tired by daylight. But go see for yourself.

“Get ready to never stop”

Non stop party. So many choices of booze and food. Not enough jazz and blues, its all rock and karaoke.
