We had two rooms. Had a hot breakfast. By the time we got down for breakfast they had ran out of a lot of items though. This was by 8 AM. Otherwise, we had nice rooms, comfortable beds. Location is great in connection to the Mesa Verde National Park. Near lots of restaurants.

Thank you for your review. As you can imagine that by serving hundreds of guests a hot breakfast, our breakfast hostesses are keeping the oven on and the breakfast items coming. If we are out, it's only until they replenish the items within a couple of minutes. We greatly appreciate the patience of our valued guest in their understanding, We want our food hot, not stacked and sitting waiting on the guest. Wishing you a positive journey. Stay safe!

Just passing through on a quick trip so just one night. Very good location just a few miles from the entrance to Mesa Verde. We stayed at the Mesa Verde lodge last year and this was quite a bit better, especially for the money. Probably the only issue we had was the curtains in our room seemed too short and immobilized so they couldn't cover the heater/ac. Good safety measure but not a good option for when the sun rises and the light streams into the room first thing in the morning. No sleeping in for you!

Room tip: No east-facing rooms if you want to sleep in in the morning

Thank you for your kind review. Just an FYI for future stays, the drapes are decorative, not meant to move. The black out blinds that are closest to the window pull together to block out any light, leaving you in pitch darkness. We are thrilled you enjoyed your stay with us and we hope to see you again. Stay safe and happy!

My first time to stay with this property last year was very unhappy because they did not provide wifi during my whole stay and unwilling to give me any solution. However, this time I had an excellent stay with this property. The wifi was functional and very speedy. Room was very spotless and gleaming, which was essentially important during this pandemic period. Breakfast was very good. Unlike other properties, this property still provided full hot breakfast including delicious chilli chicken/pork and potato soup. You can order in front of breakfast area and then somebody will prepare for you.

Thank you for your review. We apologize you did not have wifi, and neither did anyone else in the region. We cannot offer up a solution that we do not have, We greatly appreciate our guests that understand that at times cables are cut during construction in areas other than our hotel, and we are at the mercy, as are the surrounding homes and businesses, of our cable company to find and then repair the internet lines. We do hope you noticed our hot selections of breakfast items, our amenities and impeccably clean, sanitized rooms. Wishing you a positive journey.

We stayed overnight in the town of Cortez, CO to get ready for our Mesa Verde National Park visit. We liked our stay here. Bed is very soft and comfortable! There was a microwave, TV, refrigerator, hair dryer, iron etc. and complimentary coffee and toiletries provided. No complimentary bottled water in the room, so I don’t know if this is a Covid precaution thing or not. The room had enough space for 4 people. The room was clean, except for a couple of used cups that were hidden behind the curtain which the housekeeping probably missed. Pool and fitness center were already open. Public computers were available. Guest laundry amenity was also available but there is only one set of washer/dryer so you have to wait your turn, just that you won’t know when the previous user would return to pick up their laundry. Hot breakfast was provided from 6-10am. They had a listing of what hot items are available and you just tell them what you would like such as omelet. There is also a pre-packed grab and go bag which included an apple, juice, mini-cake, water, and breakfast bar. Pre-check-in and digital key was available. Room card can be given upon request. Check-out was very easy and convenient as well, you can do it through the HiltonHonors App or in front desk. This hotel is a recommendable place to stay.

Thank you for your review. We very much appreciate you notice all of the extra precautions we are taking in an effort to keep everyone safe. If you are going to travel and stay at a hotel then it is nice to see you are aware that you are not alone at home, and you are not eating at a menu to order restaurant. We are one of the few hotel open that is making the effort to serve a hot breakfast which is not that easily done with all of the restrictions we are to follow. We want our guests to know they truly are important to us and we want our guests to know it matters to us that they have a hot meal prior to starting a new day. We go above and beyond sanitizing this entire hotel. We want to be safe and we want you to be safe. We hope to see you again during future travels. Stay safe!!

I am a long-time Hilton Honors member and have had nothing but positive experiences at Hilton properties. The Hampton Inn Mesa Verde/Cortez is the glaring exception. Hilton's COVID policy is that there is a liberal cancellation policy of 24 hours before. I cancelled a night at this hotel before 8 am the day before check in. That is 32 hours before check in. I was assured on the phone that my card would not be charged. IT WAS.

After 4 calls to the hotel, and 3 contacts to Hilton Honors, the hotel would not budge. I was also told that the general manager would contact me, that person never did. Hilton is making it right - the hotel would not.

My advice - STAY ELSEWHERE in Cortez.

We have a cancelation policy of 24 hours prior to check in. In fact you may cancel until 11:59 pm the evening before check in. If you book a room through a third party booking and cancel through a third party booking then you may want to follow up and make sure they canceled your room timely. In your case, this did not happen. We held the room for you. We could have rented the room to numerous travelers we had to turn away. This was explained to you.
Wishing you a safe and happy journey.
