I have never seen pancakes as big and thick as Phil's serves. A couple of these would feed a family. The sausage gravy is nicely sweet and tastey, biscuits are light and fluffy. A good combination. The restaurant is a small place across the street from the race track. A good local place for breakfast. Didn't try lunch so I can't comment on that but suspect that it is also a good place as it was full of locals

This was my first time at Phil'S. The portion of food was great and almost too much. My main concern lay in the service. Everyone was very friendly but the service was very slow especially with only 2 other tables that day. For the price I probably will not go back unless I was with a group.

We wanted breakfast at noon. Phil's offers thick plate-sized pancakes. I mistakenly ordered two pancakes, eggs, and bacon. The pancakes were large enough for a large group. The eggs were 10 minutes after the pancakes. They forgot the orange juice, gave me hot water but no teabag. It was not the best breakfast we ever had.
The service is excellent. Coffee very tasty. Maybe lunch is better. Bring an appetite--all servings are enough for two people.

Bella, I am glad you chose to stop in and have breakfast with us at Phil's! We appreciate your taking the time to leave your thoughts for us!!!
I am glad you enjoyed the coffee. We receive a lot of comments on it!
The pancakes are indeed very large and definitely enough to fill up even the hungriest of eaters!
I apologize for the delay in receiving your eggs. I also am sorry to hear they didn't bring your tea bags with the hot water. Hopefully, they corrected that mistake quickly!
We hope to see you again on your next visit to the Hot Springs area!

The staff is great, food superb, and if you leave hungry your a bigggg eater. Going out for a casual bite to eat the prices beat fast foods and the food is much much better, very family oriented.

Prize-level meatloaf, creamy potatoes, sweet waitress...we had a wonderful time here and highly recommend Phil's for a home-cooked meal and great conversation with the staff. These folks know customer service! A+
