“Little slice of heaven - absolutely perfect place to spend a holiday!”
Reviewed 31 May 2015 for a stay in May 2015

Dear Senani Bungalow team, We can't thank you enough for an absolutely lovely stay! The home so lovely and clean, the meals absolutely delicious and our children so happily entertained in your beautiful gardens. Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer than 3 days at your home. Thank you for all of the tips regarding places to explore in Nuwara Eliya, such an amazing area! We will highly recommend your holiday home to friends, neighbors and colleagues. We enjoyed every moment, thank you again for all you did to make our stay so memorable and enjoyable. We hope to see all of you again soon, until then, wishing you all the best!! Warm regards, Rob, Stacy, Caroline & Patrick Shier (currently living in Abu Dhabi, UAE, from USA)

“Great Stay!!!”

We stayed at the Senani Bungalow for 3 nights and 4 days and our stay was made both memorable and very enjoyable at the time. The process of booking the bungalow was easy and the Senani team answered all of our questions even before we got there like getting a phone, taxi etc. The bungalow itself is very strategically located overlooking the hills of this beautiful little town offering very scenic views. The small little golf course is a really fun add on. While we stayed at the bungalow, our caretakers were absolutely phenomenal with their services. They ensured that we had our fill of the each meal. Each meal was prepared by Prema with such love and care. There was such variety offered, it left us pleasantly satiated after every meal. I guess all of us can never forget the on demand and the variety of different tea served to us while we were there. The lavender and chamomile was handpicked from the garden and served to us every night with a lovely fire in the sitting room. Overall the hospitality offered to us by the whole team was very memorable and commendable. We look forward to our next trip to Sri Lanka soon.

“HOMELY”
Reviewed 26 May 2015 for a stay in May 2015

Senanis colonial bungalow is a nice place to stay. It is a colonial bungalow modified here and there to make it more comfortable. The rooms are neat and clean with tidy toilets. The sitting area is comfortable. The garden around is nice. The food is good. Marcus, the manager makes everything possible. Nice cute place with reasonable tariff.

“Little Switzerland in midst of Sri Lanka”
Reviewed 25 May 2015 for a stay in May 2015

Having been in Sri Lanka since nearly 2 years, I finally made the long overdue trip to Nuwara Eliya. My 10 years old son and I took the Hatton road and were amazed by the many tea plantations on the way. The scenery is just beautiful.
When we reached the Senani Colonial Holiday Bungalow, we were taken away by the colonial bungalow and the surrounding garden full of blooming roses and many other flowers. The landlady is a passionate gardener and in her organic garden she has planted every single herb or vegetable or fruit you can think of. There is even a small golf course.
My son enjoyed being in the garden and helping out picking herbs and veggies for our diner. He was playing in the garden during the whole day. It was such a great change from the heat and humidity and limited places one can do with children in Colombo. The sweetheart of the bungalow was undoubtfully Prema, the cook. Petit, round and always smiling, she produced the most wonderful dishes during our stay.
We will definitely come back and we are heart fully recommending the Senani Bungalow experience to anyone. Amela and Liam

“great place”
Reviewed 25 May 2015 for a stay in January 2015

This is a great place - great staff, great location, great food. The staff have become a part of our family - Prema cooks up a great meal be it Sri Lankan or European - just tell her what you like to eat and she'll prepare it for you. Her husband Nana is a handyman and gardner and keeps the place impeccable. Marcus the GM looks after your every day needs, whether it is food or organizing your day's outing. Ask for Gerald Stephen to be your driver - he'll take you to some beautiful hiking spots and guide you in the tea plantations at reasonable prices.
The bungalow is ideally located just 15 min from the town center and 30 min from hiking spots. The bungalow has four rooms so one can stay there either as a couple or invite friends - the price remains the same. Each room is independent with it's own bathroom. We often invited university students for mentoring and hiking outings. The bungalow was perfect for that.
Nuwara Eliya is ideally located because it has some good dry weather and no mosquitoes that can be annoying in the south of the island. Another add-on is the putting green that the owners have built. After a busy days' outing, we took our aperitif on the terrace and engaged in a putting competition with Marcus and friends.
So relax and enjoy this little part of paradise.
