This set of villas offers stunning views, a peaceful setting and the chance to explore rural Bali. I stayed for three nights and could have happily stayed longer.

Pros:
- The restaurant: the food is pretty good, but it is the views from the rooftop restaurant that make this special.
- The location: the perfect place to explore Bali away from the bustle of tourists. Walk through the rice field with a tour guide or just head off on your own.
- Local speciality: make sure you head to the town's two main fabric makers, be ready to negotiate.
- The views: I found it hard to stop photographing the sunset/rises and the beautiful green expanses during the day.
- The bathtub: it is impressive.
- Rice field experience: being able to watch the locals work the fields was cool. Waking up to the smell of them burning off, watching them bring down big trees and seeing the process up close is worth it.

Cons:
- You are staying in the middle of rice fields, be prepared for bugs! If you drop food or drink on the floor, it will soon be covered in bugs. After my first slip up, I didn't have any real issue with it. I heard a few guests complaining about bugs and I think if the staff were more upfront and made guests aware of the issue, there would be less complaints.
- The wifi was not the best and usually didn't reach my villa. If I needed the internet I generally had to go and sit in the restaurant. I would say this isn't the place to come if you need to stay connected to the world. Which is also a pro!
- No Aircon, Tv etc. I found the fans relatively adequate. Again, if you need a TV this probably isn't the place to come. There is so much beauty and peacefulness around you.

Overall, I would recommend a stay at Sawah Indah Villa if you want to relax somewhere with memorable panoramas, explore a quieter part of Bali and don't require every single comfort of a modern hotel.

We had lunch here and were surprised of the kindness of it's personnel: so nice and so helpful and... also the food and drinks were perfect. Beautiful views on the surrounding rice fields. Will certainly go back.

Hotel situation is incredible in the middle of the rice fields. We stayed in a Family Room which was in fact a 2 room suite with 2 bathroom and 2 balconies, one overlooking the swimming pool and the other one the rice fields.
We felt that the personnel really went over to satisfy our every needs, they even came to the room so we could pre-order our evening meal to avoid waiting at the restaurant!
For the price we payed I would definitely come back and recommend to everyone!

First, let me say-the grounds and rooms are quite nice, very good attention to detail. The setting is very beautiful, amidst the rice paddies with gorgeous flowers, etc etc.
However, this place seems to be a victim of its own success--big groups/families coming in and out every day, lots of children yelling in the pool, etc etc....while certainly not the fault of the hotel, it did take away from the peaceful setting. With so many high quality options in Sideman that appeared to be all empty-its a shame that this place is jammed packed even in the low season. Breakfast was extremely mediocre, staff pleasant, ants a huge issue in the room-it seemed that the couch had not been cleaned and someone before had left something sugary on there, which led to ants literally covering all of my clothing. Again, a nice place-but there are better options in Sideman, especially for those seeking peace and quiet.
