We stayed 5 nights at Alila Manggis and was incredibly happy with the service!

AMBIANCE
The design of the whole resort is really beautiful! Upon our entrance, we already felt the nature vibes. Clean & calming with lots of white and natural design

ROOM
The room was nicely designed. It also has a nice balcony with a day bed and beautiful view of the grass & pool. Only downside is water pressure from our shower was weak so it took a while to shower and room size is a bit small with no work desk (but I guess you dont go to this resort to work), but good enough for us since i just worked at the Seasalt restaurant

SERVICE
This is where Alila Manggis truly shines. Since there are only a few rooms in this resort, everyone was so nice. Special shoutout to Pushpita (front desk manager). She delivered incredible service. From the moment we arrived, she had a huge smile and was very welcoming. She was very nice to us and made our stay extra special. We will truly miss her! Muli from Seasalt restaurant was also good to us consistently.

FOOD
Now, this is where we were disappointed. We dined breakfast here everyday. The good things were: Nasi goreng (chicken fried rice), the croissant with omelette, their fruit juices and "elixirs of life", and also all pastries (croissant, muffin, carrot cake was amazing)

The downsides of the restaurant: Nasi goreng lacked chicken, there were only a few pieces of chicken in the dish. Out of all the bowls, only the granola was good, the rest had weird flavor/ingredient combinations. They also only put 1 strawberry cut in 3-4 slices for each dessert and it seemed cheap. They also need to put more avocado in the avocado toast. Because the avocado layer is very thin and the bread needs to be toasted (no one wants a soggy avocado toast)

There was also daily afternoon tea which came with 1 sweet & 1 salty snack, which was nice. Only downside during this time is there was the person who is incharge of always promoting their paid activities. The guy was nice and he was doing his job, but we just felt uncomfortable being sold to everyday during afternoon tea. Other than that, we enjoyed our daily afternoon tea.

In summary:
-excellent service (especially Pushpita)
-relaxing ambiance
-need to focus on improving recipes/food at Seasalt restaurant
-need to lower prices for activities, since they are too high
-the "free" photoshoot needs to indicate that there is only 1 picture that is free and we have to pay for the rest, as the card they give out is a bit misleading saying its a 1 hour "free" photoshoot

We loved this hotel and had a fabulous time here. All the staff are very welcoming & nothing is too much trouble. Staff went out of their way to make sure that we had everything that we needed to make our holiday as relaxed as possible.

Ms. Suseni and the entire Alila Manggis staff were very hospitable and friendly. They offered many experiences which I booked during my 3 nights stay. I booked trekking along the ride paddies and the jungle with durian trees and other fruits which ended in Desa Tenganan, a little town full of history. The trek was about 8km distance. If you're lucky, you can buy and eat durian there. I also did the snorkeling but the location, Padang Bai, had some plastic trash floating. They also have bicycles to use for free which I took advantage of and rode to Pasar Ulakan where you can buy various fruits. I bought wani which is a variant of mango and only found in Bali AFAIK. I also rode the two recommended bike routes which was 10km for medium and 6km for easy difficulty. The location is pretty humid but they do have dehumidifier which you can request during your stay. I'd love to go back to Alila Manggis if I get the chance again.

This property is a true hidden gem for Hyatt in Bali and perfect for anyone seeking a getaway at somewhere quiet and calm.

All rooms have the view of the sea and we were allocated Room 207 which is by the corner and has a great view of the ocean, restaurant and pool.

Even though there is only one restaurant in the property, it is sufficient for a good breakfast, lunch or dinner. We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast which is all-you-can-eat via an a la carte menu. The Congee dishes and Mee Goreng were highlights for us. There were also other restaurants within walking distance from the Hotel.

During our stay, we went out to the sea for fishing and caught some fishes and crabs. The Hotel was able to cook them for us for 225IDR.

Other facilities include a badminton court, swimming pool, and SPA facilities. There is also daily complimentary shuttle bus to nearby towns as well as tai-chi or yoga classes.

Overall, this place is a fantastic choice when the weather is great.
