Bad - worse - worst! ...
Unclean, worst food, dirty pool and a molded room ... please have a look at the pictures.

We had a great stay at Villa Diana from 12 to 16 Nov. This is a newly renovated/built boutique hotel. Although the hotel compounds is small, the rooms are clean and spacious while the toilets and pool area are very nicely done and cozy. If you're too lazy to walk to the beach, chilling by the hotel pool would serve you just as well. The staff are friendly and willing to help u with your requests.

Bad things abt this hotel:
1) It is a 15 min walk to nearest beach ie; Legian Beach. There are many other hotels that line the coast. However, taxi rides to and from the hotel are cheap and easily available.
2) It is located beside a small dirty river which is a bit smelly when you're walking to the beach
3) Some taxi drivers are not familiar with its location so you may need to carry with you a map of the hotel or know the exact road name of the hotel
4) Not much shopping/food near the hotel
5) Breakfast spread is very limited

In all, if the hotel's interiors are of priority to you, and you are fine with a slightly longer walk to the beach, then this hotel is definitely a steal at SGD80 per night.

We stayed at the Villa Diana Bali's Suite room from the 4th to 7th September. I had read several reviews about the place (both pro and con) and so was really worried about our choice. But, I needn't have worried. The room, service and general hotel was great. We had a lot of privacy and also had access to a more private pool that was there for the 3 suite rooms. The 1st night we ordered in room service and the food was great and cheap. But the breakfast could do with some improving...the tea was "weird" (can't really explain what was wrong with it) and the orange juice is not really freshly squeezed juice (more like cordial or something). However, the staff's ever smiling faces and attentiveness to serve made up for it. I must mention that the hotel seemed to be quite full but we didn't really feel it. There was so much privacy and that really made it great. The hotel is located about a 10 minute walk from Jalan Legian and about 20 minute walk to the beach. The hotel staff were incredibly helpful in assisting us to make reservations and that really helped us. Also, they managed to locate a restaurant we were looking for and also helped to sort out an issue we had with returning our key to the previous hotel we were at. All in all, it was a great stay. I'd recommend that you stay at the Suite room.

Pros : Huge room, 4 poster bed, separate bath and shower. Clean, well maintained, private. Close to Jalan Legian and Legian Beach. Great hotel staff that were helpful in making reservations and sourcing info for us. In house food is actually quite good and very reasonably priced.

Cons : Construction behind the hotel, Limited breakfast selection

I booked into Hotel Diana as a luxury stay for my backpacking trip and i was completely blown away by it.
The staff are really friendly and will help you out with anything. The hotel looks exactly the same as what you see in the pictures.
I was only planning to stay for one week but ended up staying for two.

The hotel offers a free breakfast (toast, pancakes, rice, noodles, omelets, fruit, tea, coffee, juice), a nicely sized swimming pool. I stayed in two different rooms (two storey villa and a standard room).
The villa was amazing, i had my own private swimming pool, lounge area downstairs. Upstairs was a spaceous bedroom with a king sized bed, television, separate bath and shower, air con. The only bad thing was it was too far away from the internet router, so i had to sit in the restaurant to access the internet.
The standard room was just as good, just on a smaller scale, but it was perfect for my needs, double bed, television, shower, air con and a balcony over looking the swimming pool. Internet access was available in my room.

I had read reviews about the hotel being down a dark road with a dirty river outside the hotel, this is true, but the dark road is completely safe, i have never felt threatened or worried at any point in Asia, if you do feel like that, just order a taxi from reception it'll cost you around Rp5000, at the most!
You are about a 15 minute walk from the main strip of restaurants and shops, but this is a great thing, as you 15 minutes away from all the noise! The traffic is immense!

Hotel Diana is set in the quietest part of Seminyak / Legian, and it comes highly recommended by a solo traveler of the world! Enjoy your stay here, you won't be disappointed!
