We were extremely disappointed with our stay here. The staff appear not to care about the general tidiness or cleanliness of the place.

During our stay there were hardly any guests in the hotel and dozens of staff members simply sat around with nothing to do, chatting loudly. As we arrived through the door, we saw this and they barely acknowledged us or helped us with our bags or even directed us to check in desk (which is slightly hidden from view). This gives a very poor first impression and an impression that didn't change throughout our stay. Whilst it's ok for staff to sit and chat, maybe a bit more professionalism wouldn't go amiss and also when there are bits of rubbish laying around, you'd expect staff would clear this away given there was nothing else for them to do.

The rooms were dated and dirty, the sheets had stains on them and holes in. The wallpaper was falling off in parts and the mosquito mesh keeping mosquitos out had a huge hole in, therefore did little to keep out the hundreds of mosquitos. The gaps under the doors are so big that bugs can easily crawl under, I've previously stayed in a bamboo hut in a village in Indonesia and that had less wildlife roaming around.

The first night we were here a cockroach crawled out from behind the bed and walked over my girlfriends head, she was less than pleased, whilst I don't necessarily believe cockroaches are a sign of uncleanliness (they can be found even in clean hotel rooms) this did show that the staff don't pay attention to cleaning the smaller details like under the bed. They did let us move rooms however no apology for this.

Positives: pool was good and well maintained, pancakes were nice, wifi was above average for SE Asia, room has a bath (not the cleanest), air con is excellent and TV had HBO.

Overall this was really disappointing and not good value for money. Me and my girlfriend spent double what we would normally spend (travelling for 3 months in SE Asia) and we got half the value we would normally get. If you came on your 2 week holiday here I think you would be seriously disappointed and would leave after 1 or 2 nights. Don't waste your time.

Beautiful big rooms with fridge. Close to shopping street, safe and well maintained. Hidden from busy Main Street, quiet and nice gardens.
Plenty of parking and easy access.
Excellent wifi in room and by pool.
Friendly helpful staff.
Very average breakfast but able to get dinner until late in evening.

Would stay here again . Family stayed in two rooms in first floor . Serviced every day. Breakfast was included and great to start the day but we had a second breakfast at excellent cafe Grain Espresso 2 min walk away on the days we stayed in town. The children loved the pool and were entertained by the frogs and lizards. They also engaged easily with the staff who taught culture and language . It was excellent for our party as we booked events away from Seminyak every second day and chilled by the pool or at the beach on our quiet days . It is obviously a respected and well known place as all the taxi drivers we used knew where to take us. It was amazing value . A supermarket just down the road was a source of cheap drinking water and snacks . Towels are tired and the laundry done for us could have done with Persil. But it didn't matter. We all agreed it was a family holiday to remember forever . No one got sick but we were very liberal with sunblock spray on insect repellant and hand sanitiser. Mizone electrolytes were a must in the days we spent biking or snorkeling . All were available at Bintang supermarket. Loved the sunsets and live music at the beach just 15 minute walk away . Recommend this place for culture quiet comfort value for money and friendly staff.

This hotel is basic, but very clean, lovely staff, quiet. Short walk to Bingtang supermarket, very good shopping all around the area. Fantastic material shop on the corner.
Breakfast isn't really enough, but the staff allow you to add your own fruit to the pancakes. All food is tastey and very cheap.
Pool is big and deep, very clean. Beds were comfy but towels need updating.
This hotel doesn't supply free water or any where you can re fill water containers, so it's a constant trip to the supermarket. They do supply small bottles for a charge.
I enjoyed my stay and would stay again

Room tip: Bottom room facing the pool has a kitchen and two queen size beds

Basic accomodation but the atmosphere was really nice. Balinese style building. Little old. Breakfast was good enough for me. You get a couple of options to choose from for example mie/nasi goreng or banana pancakes. Staff is helpfull and friendly. Doing laundry was very cheap and they make up the room every day. The swimming pool is pretty good. The room is basic but for the price I didnt expect more. I had a nice stay here. The area has a lot of bars and shops. A big supermarket is just 2 min. away. The beach is pretty close (15 min.walk).
