“Could not fault !”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 September 2012

We stayed at Jayakarta from 3-13 Sept, was our first time in Bali and could not fault the location!
Beach side head left you can dine at other resort restaurants along the beach front, head right look for the bean bags on the beach for great atmosphere while enjoying a meal with beautiful sunsets (and cold beers). Street side head right will find many bars and restaurants head left you will more bars and restaurants, you will not go hungry or thirsty... breakfast lunch or dinner.
We ate at Jayakarta the meal was beautiful, beers at bar and pool bar reasonable in price for a resort (and still cheaper than a holiday at home) .. pool bar has daily happy hour specials, breakfast is buffet style with a decent variety. You have 3 pools to choose from and a plunge/spa along with terrace area overlooking the surf.
We had deluxe room in '300 Block' while not brand new/trendy it was clean (the floors squeaked when you walked bare foot), roomy enough for two people and the balcony was a nice spot to sit and read when you did not want to be in the resort area or in your room. Resort staff were friendly and helpful.
The only negative and this is only because we travel as a couple, I may not want to stay in high season as imagine it would become quite busy being a large resort. How ever would recommend as a good starting point for first Bali holiday or for those travelling in groups or with family... Legian area is a nice mix of Kuta and Seminyak.

Room Tip: all rooms are close to everything, yu could find fault with Jayakarta if you wanted to how ever you...

First time at Jayakarta Bali.
Rooms were sufficient, could do with a little updating here & there but you spend so little time in them it's not really an issue.
So quick at night so slept really well & then woke to birds chirping.
Fantastic security, all cars entering are checked really well. Security around the grounds at all times.
Gardens are MAGNIFICENT.
Very hard working staff & your beck & call 24/07, nothing is ever too much trouble.
Yummy buffet breakfast everyday & top quality food for lunch & dinner too.
4 pools which are clean & large.
Can't say enough how great this hotel is. You won't be disappointed. Highly recommended for everyone including families with small children.
I’d go back there anytime

Service on arrival was great, a welcome juice and yes I am on holiday. Had some problems in our first room but as soon as we informed staff, we where moved as were our friends for although there was nothing wrong with their room, we were suppose to be holidaying together. The service was wonderful. The breakfast amazing and the restaurant was well situated so you could watch the entertainment around one of the magnificent pools.
We got vouchers for 1 free dinner and were skeptical to say the least about what the 'set menu' available would be like but we were pleasantly surprised. The hotel is situated well. Leaving via the back takes you out to the beach, restaurants and wonderful walks. Go via the front and let the shopping begin. The service provided for sight seeing was great and they found us the cheapest prices on everything. Loved the chimes and beautiful sounds. Slept well in the comfortable beds. Had a ball

We have been to Bali at least 20 times and have stayed in as many differant hotels. We stayed in privately owned apartments the last two trips and have found them to more comfortable than a standard hotel room and well furnished with all the comforts you would expect, including a large fridge which will hold a slab of Bintang. The apartments are a little bit away from the pool but much closer to the exit from the resort which suited us as we did not spend much time there. We travelled with another couple who had never been to Bali and they are allready saving for their next trip. The Jayakarta is a great location with the beach on one side and shops and restaurants on the other. We look forward to going back next year.

Room Tip: Go to Mics Bali Forum he has a list of privatly owned apartments - you cant go wrong

I was sceptical when I initially read some of the negative posts about this hotel, so I took a chance and was really surprised. I just can't understand some people who just never seem to be satisfied wherever they stay..It's Bali for goodness sake! It's not the 'Ritz'.I took a package deal from Australia and the hotel worked out to be about $35 pp, per night! Great!.. The grounds are enormous and fastidiously kept neat and tidy always, manicured as only the Balinese seem to know how to do. Beautiful fountains, pools and carvings wherever you look. The staff are beautiful, friendly and always accomodating. The room had a king size bed and very comfortable, a tv(never turned it on) bedside tables, wardrobe and bathroom with shower and bath. Basically the bare neccessities (anyway one is always out, isn't one?) It was clean and nice and reasonably private. 5 minutes walk to the pool or beach, every facility one could need, drinks and food are expensive but who eats or drinks at the hotel anyway in Bali! Great restaurants are 7 minutes away on the coast at Legian and a million shops are 10 minutes walk from the front entrance. I would stay there again for sure, 'swonderful smarvellous that they would care for me'....

Room Tip: Go for a ground floor room as after a heavy night out eating drinking and making merry who wants to...
