Very relaxing place of western standards yet indonesian atmosphere. Formerly an antique shop, now restaurant / tea room / book shop. Good food served with attentive service. You can choose from Indonesian classics or american / western food. Excellent for a relaxing break from "too much of Asia" but not lacking local atmosphere. Wonderful High Tea and Tarot readings by Leslie Ann Franklin. Also very good for breakfast. One personal highlight (but not for everybody's taste): Turmeric Lemon and honey Juice.

It was very busy the day we arrived, but the service was very efficient, without being forced.Shared the high tea and could not believe how many different tea selections were available.Sandwiches consisted of smoked salmon, cucumber and ham with mustard.Mini quiche, scones with the usual jam and cream. To finish, chocolate truffles, gingerbread men, shortbread and cheesecake.Absolutely stuffed but enjoyed it all! Had Tarot read for a small price. It certainly is worth making a booking as people were waiting for tables.Menu also has other selections, burgers, rolls etc.The only thing we did not lke, it was so hot inside as no cooling or air circulation ,it made it uncomfortable. Outdoor seating is available but very limited.Loved all the little knooks and crannies filled with books and ornaments which are for sale. Cant wait to return!

We became addicted to this beautiful restaurant/cafe. The menu is vast and something there for everyone. Gorgeous teas, a delightful high-tea and their coffee is great. Set in an old style Java house with great ventilation this cafe is cool and comfortable. If you are into it...there are tarot card readings and a medium available all for reasonable prices. We didn't do this but could see these people very busy. A must visit for the area...you won't regret it.

If you want a restaurant that does western style & Indonesian food, that is reasonably priced and you have hungry mouths to feed then this is the place. If you want a romantic culinary experience then go elsewhere. Coming from Australia where it has been years since you were allowed to smoke in restaurants, there was an older couple next to us and she had a ciggy in hand whilst eating. Hysterical.
