Amazing to see this beautiful beach on this vulcanic island. Heavy waves and great temp in the sea. And i love the charming fish boats behind the beach. Lots of restaurants and sunbeds.

You have to make a little climb downhill but it is definitely worth it (part of the experience). The beach is beautiful and not very crowded. There are (of course) merchandisers trying to sell you beach jewelry and massages. The kids (and us too) loved the big waves. We did not snorkel here but we would do that if we were here a second time. Apparently you can spot 5 sea turtles here.

Great Beach, good food and minimal hustle for wares/massages. Waves can quickly become dangerous.... but the local warung owners dive in to help endangered tourists. Worth the fee of 10 000 - once on the road and another 10 000 at the enterence of the Beach.

The beach is still worth going to... white sand, a sea in all shades of blue, nice snorkeling and the nearby rocks and corals... avoid all the hawkers and walk to the right side of the beach - very quiet and no restaurants/shops there...

There is the problem of the entry ticket scam... first you have to pay a ticket and the end of the entry road (20.000INR), presuming this is your entry ticket to the beach... you reach the parking lot (parking ticket of course) and you walk down a path to the beach and you are stopped by another ticket booth, where you have to pay again for another entry ticket (telling you that the previous ticket sellers are from another community)... it is not that much money (we are talking about some dollars/euros) - but it is the attitude to consider travelers/tourist as 'easy to milk money-providers' that bothers... We paid the scammers - said it was bad for tourism and their karma - and wished them good luck but it gave as a bitter taste... 5-star beach, 3-star expercience...

Went with friends to White Sand BEach, Lots of chairs and umbrellas available, Cold Beers and nice spot to people watch. Good surf and good fun, a little shopping if you feel the urge just finishes your visit off. A little difficult to get there by foot, suggest your driver takes the car and drops you off on the south end of the beach for easier access.
