An amazing place to stay and spend time amidst the animals. On the shores of lake Manyara this places offers some great views, comfortable and well appointed tents and good food; we completely enjoyed the dinner buffet and the breakfast during the time we stayed there. Their lunch box was also one of the best we had on our trip. Like others have mentioned here bugs can be a bit of an issue while dining, but I guess this is something one would have to over look considering they are staying in a wildlife game park!!

Do stay at this property if you get the opportunity!

+ Awesome location with view on Lake Manyara and between wild animals.
+ Rooms were very big and well equipped.
+ Pool with a view and nice bar.

- The night we were there, there were sooo many little flies that it was impossible to have a light on at dinner which made eating a bit complex.

I stayed at the camp for two nights – it is an amazing place! All rooms are independent small tents/huts on a raised foundation. One side of wall is mostly solid and has toilet,
shower, and washing basin. Other three sides of walls are just canvas and screens, which can be rolled up or down. My room has safe, refrigerator, drinking water dispenser, tea kettle, wi-fi(!), and all-day electricity. In the early mornings or later evenings, just make sure you roll up the canvas window covers and watch/hear the animals moving around near and far in weak lights.

There are two tiny issues in this place. (1) It should have some kind of the bug-control in the eating place, which places candles on each table. Since the candles are the only lights at night, tiny bugs fly into the candles and anything else nearby. For two consecutive nights, my water cups at the dinner table were soon covered with a layer of bugs (they crashed and stuck on the wet outside surface of my cups). A few lamps on the peripheral of the eating place should do the trick. (2) There is no light that you can turn on by the door of your hut. You want to close the door behind you as soon as possible to avoid the entering of bugs into the tent. However, once you close the door, the entire room became totally black – no light whatsoever. So hopefully you have a flash light, or a very good memory regarding on what part of the final walls has the light switches.

Beautiful, large rooms in an incredible setting on the shores of Lake Manyara with the wall of the Rift Valley in the background. There was delicious food and unlimited beer and wine. The staff are very friendly and helpful, plus the conditions for guides are reportedly good and our driver mentioned that it was one of the best places for him to stay. The pool is stunning and the perfect place to enjoy some snacks and a drink after a day in the park while you watch animals wander by. If you're in the Tarangire/Lake Manyara District, don't miss out on Maramboi.

Maramboi tented camp has permanent small "cabins" equipped with all the comforts. A nice clean bathroom, shower, and very comfortable beds with mosquito netting. Each room even has their own water bubbler with purified water. Beautiful sitting area with views over the grounds. The swimming pool has the most unbelievable view I have ever seen, just a few feet away from a watering hole with Zebra's, wilderbeast and wart hogs. Staff are so friendly, excellent english and eager to accomodate any wishes. The early morning at sunrise nature walk with our own personal guide, Andrew, who is a university student, was fantastic. He was so knowledgeable. I specially enjoyed taking off my shoes and walking barefoot through the mud to the lake, to get some close-up photographs of the flamingos. The food at dinner was delicious. A buffet. The fish was yummy- tilapia from Lake George. Maria , Our server, made the most delicious ginger tea, so accommodating and with a big huge smile. This is a very very special place. Especially enjoy the eating area that looked out over the watering hole and over the Savannah. I would come back here and just love to stay for a few days, with a good book overlooking the beautiful view. The campfire at night was really special and also I don't want to forget the included beverages. Having a nice glass of wine by the fire capped off my evening
