Right on a lake, this place is just sublime. The food is great. Staff are super friendly and the rooms were very comfortable. Showers were excellent with more than enough hot water. TOns of animals all around you. If anything, hearing the Gnus at night can be a little distracting at first. They have Wifi but only in the main lodge

I stayed one night at Maramboi during a safari in June 2017. This is a beautiful place with friendly staff. The rooms are very simply but nicely designed, comfortable, private, and have small porches looking out onto a diversity of wildlife and Lake Manyara in the distance. The common areas, including the pool, are also quite beautiful. Drinks were included as part of our reservation, which was a nice change, and the food was excellent. Overall, probably my favorite place that I stayed in Tanzania.

We spent 2 nights at the Maramboi at the end of June.
The camp is very nicely run with attentive and friendly service. It is a bigger camp so the restaurant was a bit too busy for our liking.
The tent itself is very spacious and has a lovely deck so you can sit and enjoy a drink and watch the animals.
The view is fantastic and the meals are quite nice with quite a few choices.
Overall a very nice stay.

Comfortable room and excellent location near lake. Great food and service. We took an escorted hike into the fields and to the lake. Happy hour with free beer and wine and appetizers. We were very happy with the experience!

My wife and I just got back from our honeymoon and Maramboi tented camp was one of our favorite places. We got one of the lake view "tents" (really more like small luxury cabins) and the views were unreal. We received a free bottle of chilled white wine upon check-in. Internet worked in the room, and there were water coolers with cold and hot drinking water as well as instant coffee so we were able to wake up, make some coffee, and take in the early morning views of the lake.

However, the pool/bar and restaurant area were what really impressed. The location has an infinity pool overlooking Lake Manyara where wildebeest, warthogs, zebras, and other animals roam by right in front of you. Pro tip: Definitely go out to the pool area for happy hour! Free cocktails and snacks (samosas, chicken wings, etc.) and front row seats to some amazing sunsets. Dinner was buffet style but they also have a main "station" which happened to be stir fry. All the food was delicious, and the wine was as well. Service was top notch.

We would definitely go back!

Room Tip: Get a lake view room if possible and definitely try out the happy hour by the pool
