This was a good cabin to stay in. River right out back and a nice deck to sit on and relax. For me it was a great location. Far out enough to feel secluded but close Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge to be convenient.
One negative, it may be time for some new mattresses.
Overall, for the price, I was very happy.
We were very comfortable and had plenty of room- would love to go back and stay a week or two. The river was spectacular.
It's your perfect location for a quiet vacation to unplug and relax. It's rustic, don't expect any fancies. The sound of the waterfall is relaxing. However, it's a little too far from town. If you are going for touristic activities, this may not be your best location. It takes 30-40 minutes to get to Gatlinburg and 25 minutes to pigeon forge. This was unexpected. One of the bedrooms is located in the basement, arrive early and air it to be ready when you go to bed. There are screens for the balcony but there are no screens for the rest of the windows and patio doors which makes airing the place challenging. We found it clean and ready for our stay. You will need to use their landline since cellular service is spotty if existent depending on your carrier. I have AT&T and I was able to get one bar on my phone in some spots and two bars on my iPad, great for unplugging. There's no Wi-Fi as expected but there's satellite TV and a DVD player. I couldn't get network TV channels which I only need for PBS kids for one hour in the morning, I didn't look too hard though.
