We have stayed at this cabin three times and have grown to love it. It feels a lot like home when we stay there. It has everything you need for your stay even if it's a day or a week. The owners are some of the nicest people you'll ever know.
I booked this cabin as a first vacation for my fiancé and I. It's very cozy and not too far from town and the scenic drives. Thanks to reading the reviews I expected the driveway to be steep. And I learned to make sure the SUV is locked the moment I walked away from it. And with good reason! When we were loading up the SUV to leave we were stopped inside the cabin to see a 350 pound mama bear trying to open the back door to the vehicle. The bear came up the steps and baby had to mimic what mom did before she took off. <wipes forehead>
My husband and I booked this cabin to celebrate our 26th wedding anniversary. It is a gorgeous place! Perfect for two. The location is wonderful. It has enough privacy but is so close to town. The hot tub is wonderful to unwind at night. We stayed 3 nights but would loved to have been able to stay longer. We only cooked there twice. The cookware could use a bit of an upgrade but it served its purpose. The bathrooms could use new shower heads but they are fully functional. The bed is very comfortable and the decor is perfect. Everything was very clean and well taken care of. We are very thankful that we were able to stay there. Don't hesitate to book this cabin, we would definitely stay there again!
This is by far the BEST cabin experience we have ever had! The pictures do not do the place justice at all. Absolutely beautiful inside & out. The place was VERY clean. I would suggest bringing extra towels, dish soap etc if you plan on staying long. We stayed 6 nights & we ran out of garbage bags, towels, soap etc. Only automatic dish soap was provided. We spent most of our time on the wrap around porch & hot tub in the evening. Everyday between 12p-4p we would have visitors (bears) stroll by. I really do think this cabin is on a bear walking path. Everyday we saw 3 different beat families. One mama bear you will see has tagged ears and a collar. From talking with the locals I found out she is a "trouble some" bear and marked because she is infamous for breaking into garbages & being a bit aggressive. Be safe and do not leave any food items out. The drive up is tricky the first time, but we had a handle on driving after a day or so. The ober over Gatlinburg takes you right over the cabin! Gives an amazing view! I would book this exact cabin to come back next year it was so lovely and secluded. You do have neighbors, but there is a lot of privacy on the deck from them. We ate the the peddler twice for prime rib dinner. You can call ahead & request a seat by the river. Highly recommend them for a special dinner! The couch does fold over into an odd sleeping area. The hot tub did have a crazy on the ledge, so hopefully they get that fixed soon. I was a little worried about getting a pinch, but didn't. Definitely worth the drive & money. Best Vacation we have ever had. Owner's are very nice & responsive to all questions asked too! Highly highly recommend this cabin.
