So...the hotel is ok, but far from great. The rooms are moderate but clean, the place is maintained but certainly not heavily polished. The rooms over the creek are decent enough but the rooms on the backside of the hotel are kinda blah. Parking is a pain and accessibility is first come first served so if you have a handicap that limits your motion you're probably better served elsewhere. There is no Internet access at this hotel (save for in the lobby); they don't even have Ethernet jacks in the rooms. On the plus side, if you have a Verizon 4G LTE capable device, there is a good strong signal (4 bars in a room on the back of the hotel). Breakfast buffet is continental plus biscuits and gravy, so nothing special there either. We found a ladybug on the refrigerator when we got here; it looked like it had been dead a while.

The biggest selling point for the rooms is location, location, location. This hotel shares a parking area with the Ripley's Aquarium and is right in the lower heart of Gatlinburg. For placement, you can't get much better as everything is within walking distance and you don't need to pay extra for a place to park.

The price for our room was mid-range; $115 on the weeknight and $140ish Friday and Saturday. Our room had a king sized bed, balcony facing over the garage in back, gas fireplace, and pull out sofa. The room is very narrow.

Will we return...? Probably not.

Just keep looking for a hotel room. You are wasting energy thinking of this outdated, over charged, less than average hotel room. I certainly WILL NOT waste my money & precious get away time to stay here again or to recommend it to anyone.

Room Tip: This hotel does not have an elevator. The beds were very lumpy; the pillows were even worse. We had two nights of very poor sleep.

Stayed at the Greystone Lodge at the Aquarium over Labor Day weekend. We had a ground floor room ( right next to the pool). It was creekside, but you couldn't really see the creek as it was many feet down inside two concrete walls. The view was another hotel room right across the way. The room itself had what you need. It was clean, but the carpet was quite worn. I was worried that the pool noise would be a problem, but it never was. This hotel's best asset is its location. We could walk everywhere and we were right across the street from the aquarium, the trolley ( which we didn't use), and next to restaurants. They do provide breakfast, but it is a traffic nightmare. The food area is extremely small and the line is very long. They would benefit from spreading out the food and beverages into different stations so that everyone wasn't forced into the same area for everything. Breakfast included oatmeal, pastries, cereal. Did the job, but was it worth the wait? Probably not. I would try a different hotel if I visited the area again.

Stayed 4 days & 3 nights & had a blast. Nice room, clean & peaceful. Loved the private balcony with the creek. Will stay again. Had a great time walking the strip of Gatlinburg, having some drinks & being able to walk back to your room. The staff was very friendly and sweet & I loved how close the car was to the room.

Istayed here with a group from church--17 people. The staff was very friendly, the rooms were clean, and the location was fantastic. We easily walked to the nearby attractions. A trolley stop and the aquarium were right across the parking lot but we didn't use the trolley or visit the aquarium. The free breakfast was small--basically biscuits/gravy, cereal, bagels, and donut holes--but good. A creek with ducks runs behind the hotel. It was a pleasant stay.
