Another great stay with Westgate Smoky Mountains. Great location right outside Gatlinburg, and the views and location are everything! Very upgraded cabin furnishings, lovely amenities. We had a 1/2 and a 1/1 both deluxe units (Huge Patios). Beds were comfy, kitchen was stocked with useful items, and the customer service there is always A+. 50 cent shuttles to Gatlinburg, and about the same for shuttle to Pigeon forge. Now for the negatives. The construction of the buildings is ongoing. We were up towards the top of the newer sections, so shuttle service was provided, but it was realistically too far to walk for 4-6 times a day. Also we had EXTREMELY loud sounds coming from the floor above both our units. The Pipes also made loud noises so it was hard to sleep. Only 1 outdoor pool is open, plus the waterpark, and that is too few pools for the 700 units. Also, the 1/1 units that are not deluxe do not have any balcony or patio, so I know the elderly couple on our floors were not too happy about that. The Indoor water park was fine for small kids, but we enjoyed it for one hour, and were done. Also 2 nights we dined at the restaurant, and both the steak and prime rib were less than average. Overall would def go back, but I think they need to concentrate a bit on who is staying there, and not selling more units.

Room Tip: Closest to the amenities if you want to walk everywhere.

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about another great stay with us here at Westgate Smoky Mountain. I was disappointed to hear that your steaks were not to your liking. They seem to be one of our most popular items on our menu. I’ll have a discussion with our chef. My apologies for only having one pool open. The other pool was scheduled to open the second weekend of March but the work that was being done on that pool was delayed beyond our control. It’s fantastic to hear that you rate our service A+! That is a goal that we strive for constantly. We appreciate your business and hope to see you next year at this time.

came back from a wonderful stay at this resort. The villa has all! a balcony with table and chairs for 4 we absolutely loved the water stream behind our villa (no view though), kitchen with all that you need to cook your own meals, all was spacious, nicely decorated with fireplace :) and very clean. Friendly staff and very helpful. If you sleep 6 in a room expect to get a down stairs villa which is fine unless you have back problems and need to have your stuff taken down and up the stairs or have to take those stairs on a constant basis. (some people may want to come to the smokies and enjoy the sights and view without doing the activities others can, just saying) but other than that the staff is very helpful in bringing your bags in and out on request. being downstairs does not give you a view, unless you get a larger villa upstairs and pay more.. great views are at 3000 and 4000 of the resort..Expect neighbors to hear everything, as we heard ours until 3a.m with kids running back and forth. The outside pool is HEATED which was nice, but was full at times. I love the fact that this resort is centralized between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge! The grill restaurant was nice. The lobby has tables to play checkers so my boys enjoyed it.We would definitly stay here again :) and request the 3000 or 4000 accommodation.

Thank you for telling us about the wonderful stay you had with your family here at Westgate Smoky Mountain. My apologies for the noisy neighbors. I was very happy to read that you thought the resort was clean and that the employees were friendly and helpful. You got to love the creek that meanders behind some of the cabins. It’s great to open your window on a nice warm evening and fall asleep to the sounds of the babbling creek. The location we have is indeed incomparable for this area. Thank you for your business.

We stayed for the weekend and my family and I loved it. The view was beautiful and the room was wonderful. Our kids and I didnt want to leave. The pool is heated outside so we spent most of the day in the pool. Which was awesome since its only March. Our son is already asking when can we go back.

This was about our 4th time staying at this resort, there has been something bad every time. Our most recent visit was over the weekend March 3 & 4. When we walked into our room it had a very bad smell and we just kind of over looked it and opened the windows and thought it would air out. Then the second thing I noticed was the desk was broken and part of it was sticking out. Then the man who brought us to our room was showing us everything and he said there are extra blankets in the closet, well when he went to the closet to open it and show us he could not get it open, the doors were broke. So we decided to go to the indoor waterpark and leave the windows open to see if it would air out. We go to the waterpark and told the lady at the waterpark desk we made reservations online and added the waterpark at that time as well, she said you need to go to the concierge and get your ticket and bring back, so we walk over to the concierge and tell her what we needed and she said oh they should have already given you that when you checked in, so she had to go over to the check in to get it, then we walked back over to the waterpark. That was just unnessasary waste of time that we could have been enjoying the waterpark if they would have gave us our ticket at check in like they were supposed to. So a couple hours later we come back to our room and even with the windows open it still smells, my husband called down the guest services and told them and they said well we can come spray some stuff that is like febreze (that was so helpful! They should have sent someone up to check it out!), he just said no thank you adding a perfume smell to a bad smell would just be awful! So we just put up with it thankfully we were only staying one night! We will never go back! We actually own a westgate timeshare in FL and it is great never had any problems there!

Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. My sincere apologies for the issues you experienced during your most recent stay with us. I will talk to the Guest Services Manager regarding their response to your call about a smell in your room, however, I’m quite confident had a call been made to our special help line, I’m sure someone from housekeeping would have responded immediately. This help line is the same line that we have in all of our Westgate Resorts for owners and guests to use in case there are any issues that need to be addressed. Moreover, had one of my managers or myself been alerted to your issues, I’m sure we could have made things right by you in a very timely manner. I’m also sorry to hear that you will not be returning to our property. Having been here four previous times, I can only hope that we provided you and your family with the service and facilities that kept you coming back to stay with us. Thank you for your business. Best regards to you and your family.

Marriott owner traded via Interval International. We were only able to reserve a one bedroom through the exchange but we ended up upgrading to a two bedroom upon arrival. We were in the cabin style buildings with a beautiful view. The room was very nice and all all the supplies we needed. I have to agree though that the walls are thin but it was not an issue for us. The one thing I did not like at all is they insist on taking you to your room. So you wait for someone to guide you to your room. Once they take you in they hit you up for a presentation. I agreed, stupid mistake, I should have known better...there went well over half a day of our vacation. The water park was pretty nice to have on site. I feel it should be free for what you get but I would be comfortable paying about half of what they charge. We spent the majority of our time up at Ober Gatlinburg which was a blast.

Room Tip: I would definitely request one of the cabin style buildings versus the lower level condo style rooms...
